"Wow - punctual, courteous, professional, honest, and couldn't have asked for more.  First of all, a quick comment:  Most of the "A" rated services would not accept my business because I have pellet stove inserts.  I assume this is simply because the stove has to be pulled out and disconnected.  Metropolitan Chimney Masonry Service Inc. accepted immediately, and was very prompt and professional throughout. 
   Our rep showed up exactly on time, and explained everything that was to be done.  He was very careful while moving items around to gain access to the pellet stove, and answered all of my questions thoroughly.  He was very pleasant to work with.
    Special note:  I was a bit worried, as I have never employed a chimney sweep before, and a neighbor said that she needed to have a lot of work done.  Since it's a bit like taking your car into the shop (your flux capacitor is shot), the average Joe doesn't really know what's really needed in the dark recesses of our chimneys.  I was both relieved and very impressed with his explanation that my chimney was in fact in "very good" shape, no special or significant repairs were needed, and it was not very dirty at all (pellets produce low ash, he explained).  The crown is a bit worn re the masonry, and he showed my a picture and explained what a new crown would do to prevent rain water from seeping into the bricks.  I never felt any pressure, and everything was explained thoroughly.
All in all, outstanding service from a company I trust, and I will definitely be a return customer.  Joe (the average Joe I mentioned earlier)!

"BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT !!!!! I purchased a 2 hr handyman coupon to fix an exterior door that wasn't closing properly. This door needed to be fixed. A hinge had come undone I had heard that “winter was coming”. The repairman arrived on time and he suggested an alternative fix to re-notching the hinges and tearing out the framing of the door. My door was closing perfectly in half an hour! This quick fix gave me time to address some repairs I had thought out of reach of this coupon. In short, within my 2 hours, my handyman had patched a crack in my concrete steps and in the driveway (using a mix I had on hand as well as some materials he had in his truck), moved my air conditioner to the basement, and performed many tasks that single women call “please move this and put it there”. All of this performed with courtesy and skill. Myriad Handyman Services has certainly earned my loyalty. Instead of filling up my time with an overkill fix of my door, my money could be spent on a list of other little things that needed to be done. Bravo, Myriad Handyman Services! Well done!"

"We used CRS Painting previously to paint a powder room and were very pleased with that work (reflected in an earlier review on Angie's List).  We hired them to come back this August to do the work described above.  Once again, they did an excellent job.  Gerardo and his crew are prompt, courteous, professional and efficient.  They cover flooring, carpets and other areas before they start painting to ensure that these items remain clean.  They work quickly and, to the extent possible, are not very intrusive - they limit themselves to their work area and don't use other areas (e.g. wash basin in basement) without first asking permission. The job went off without a hitch except that, once the paint dried, we were able to see a faint line in the paint on one wall.  Gerardo arranged to come out one afternoon after I came home from work to take a look.  He brought another crew member with him and, after looking at the wall, decided the best way to handle the problem was to repaint the entire wall - which they did that afternoon/evening.  This resolved the problem and he never asked for additional money. We were very impressed with his work and the company.  Gerardo handles the field work and Valerie handles appointments, billing, etc.  We will use them again and we recommend them to anyone who needs a painting contractor.
