"The first home we renovated with NJSA was our family home in 2015. It is a Dutch Colonial and like many older, small to medium sized homes, the property itself is a nice size but all living spaces were facing the street, without a pleasant flow to the backyard. The added difficulty was that the staircase is on the back wall, seemingly blocking the option to open the living room to an addition, and so the only access to the backyard was through the crowded 6x9 kitchen: so clumsy and discouraging hosting family and friends. The back of the home is on the North side too, making the kitchen feel even more dark and cramped. NJSA sunrooms and conservatories are not only the highest insulated additions, with the strongest yet slimmest profile framing allowing for the most glass and transparency, with hollow beams allowing all electrical to be hidden they are also custom designed and precisely measured to best fit into your existing style, shapes and features. They can be built at any height too, so any space you choose can open to these additions. They allow you to reorient your home to flow into the back or side yards and frame your favorite views, thereby completely transforming how the home lives. And whereas other seasonal sunrooms will feel hot/cold and humid/damp, the NJSA highly engineered systems - with higher ratings than the building specs of most existing homes - will actually make your home more comfortable and efficient. When I researched all sunroom companies in our market in 2014, NJSA was the only one who could build modular additions that were so well insulated they were allowed by code to be installed in open plan! Their architect plans get approved, and highly skilled employees get all inspections passed and permits closed, and thanks to the offsite precision manufacturing, the inconvenience onsite is minimal and soon your home will be open and bright the way families love to live today. The heat pump will allow you to heat and cool the new volume efficiently, and when strategically placed it can also make your existing home more efficient. After the 12x24, 288 sq ft cathedral sunroom addition on the North side of this home was completed, our utility bill was literally cut in half, alleviating all concerns and way above our expectations. When it was time to sell our home, ordinary 2-3 season sunrooms would have been a concern and liability, but sharing the lifetime warranty and specs of this sunroom, and our before/after PSEG bills sold the house! From the moment you walk into the front door, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful light of the sunroom thanks to the structural opening NJSA did manage to create beyond the staircase, the kitchen now appears twice as large and can hold 4x the storage, and the sunroom with vaulted ceilings and full view of the backyard is just glorious. Look at the perfect symmetry of the French doors to the deck, the four equal panels for a gracious, classic look, without obstructions even with the doors fully opened: you can only achieve this with such a tailored addition. This home finally flows beautifully into the backyard, all the daylight and moonlight floods the home, and you can throw all the windows open and listen to the fountain and the children play... This custom addition allowed us to live inside-outside, and finally enjoy a bright and airy kitchen in the center of the home, with 180 degree views from sunrise to sunsetâ ¦ I've done my best to find old pictures to show you the before/after; please excuse my kiddo as he stars in a few of them. The transformation is so remarkable it is hard to understand the before. Still do try, and I recommend you invite NJSA into your home to see how they can transform the way your home lives too."

"My parents and I live in a old brick apartment building in Hoboken that is from the 1880s. The bathroom in our apartment had not been updated since the 1940s. We needed help ASAP. We checked out Cesar s page and wanted to hire him immediately. The reviews speak for themselves. When he came into our apartment to give us a quote we knew that this was contractor we needed to get the job done. Cesar is affordable, friendly, and very accommodating to any issues or concerns you have before starting the project. Two massive issues with our project were that my dad has spinal & walking issues, so we needed the floors clear of all tools and materials at the end of the each day so that father could walk efficiently through the apartment. The other big issue was that we only have 1 bathroom, so Cesar agreed to work with us on pulling the toilet off and on as every day finished so that we did not have to leave our building to use the toilet. Him and his crew are the best and take pride in their work so that owner is happy with the final result. We brought the bathroom down to the bare bones and rebuilt it back up. I worked with him every step of the way to make sure that he needed all materials to get the job done in the time we needed. This project was an intense remodel with some of the hardest demo and substrate materials that an old bathroom can have. He didn t think anything of it. He has veteran experience in the field and this remodel only took 3 weeks. We are very impressed with Cesar s craftsmanship and professionalism and we will be hiring him again for any future interior projects."

"We have had DDP (Dariusz Pardo and his great crew) do substantial projects for us since 2015 - interior painting and kitchen remodel for my motherâ s condo, exterior painting of our house - so when we decided to do a major refresh and renovation of our house, DDP was our first choice. That was a smart move! After much discussion and thought, we agreed on an expansive project list. * New kitchen: cabinets, quartz countertops, crown molding, ceramic backsplash, porcelain floor, ceiling and under-counter lighting * Replace hardwood floors (rip out hardwood, screw down sub-flooring, install and finish new flooring) * Replace interior doors (19) and door moldings * Replace all baseboard moldings * Build new Pantry and laundry room closets and remodel all other closets * Family Room: Design and install new in ceiling lighting, and install new laminate flooring * Replace all electrical switches and outlets, and install several new outlets in kitchen, bedrooms and family room * Fix creaky stairs * Adjust step height of several stair steps * Paint every room and closet, which required resurfacing of many areas that had deep cracking/peeling of 60 years worth of paint. * Design and install plumbing for a new water softener system, and install system * Install new natural gas Hot Water Heater including leak detector with automatic water shut-off. Along the way, Dariusz made numerous helpful suggestions and incidental improvements, driven by his high standard of design and desire to deliver the best possible results. The projects took about 13 weeks to complete - pretty quick for all the work that was done. The end result is spectacular - we have transformed our tired old house! We are delighted with our new home! Friends and family who have visited are amazed at how beautiful everything is, and how many improvements were made to make cabinets, closets and other spaces much more useful. The kitchen tops the list. We LOVE our new kitchen! It looks beautiful and all our friends and family agree. In fact, a cousin who visited in October told me that she â covetsâ our kitchen - and that is passionate praise coming from a pastor! Bottom line: donâ t hesitate to engage DDP for any project. Darius Pardo and DDP Construction LLC are the absolute BEST. Our friends who have also engaged Dariusz say the same thing."

Customers say: Quality work

"They are not local to my area. Please, hire local. And this is for Angi: Try not to recommend contractors who are a significant distance away, in this case around 80 miles (and 2 states) away. Great website, appears to be professionally designed and maintained, I like what they do (judging from the content in the website) but I am outside their service area. I don't live in that area. If I owned a home or apartment in that area, I would hire them."

This was a larger bathroom with two accent walls, a tub and sauna shower with jetted shower heads, a custom-cut ceiling, heated pebble flooring, and a mini wooden walkway.
The client wanted a tub sitting on pebble stones with an accent wall, wooden look custom shelving, and a smart floating toilet.
The image showcases a contemporary stand-up shower featuring frameless glass doors that provide a seamless, open look. The interior is adorned with large marble tiles in a soft, neutral tone, giving the shower a luxurious feel.

Built-in niches provide stylish and practical storage for toiletries, while subtle LED lighting enhances the overall ambiance.

"The men responded promptly to my husband's call and set a date to install the shower doors, which we had ordered from an out of state company and which had already been delivered. They came promptly - in fact, they adjusted their work schedule to accommodate a doctor's appointment which my husband had to keep. They followed the manufacturer's directions for the installation procedure, made the minor adjustments to the doors which were needed, and installed them perfectly. They worked carefully and efficiently and removed all debris when the job was completed. Payment to this company must be made by check; they do not accept credit cards. We were very pleased, and highly recommend them. We would definitely hire them again."

"Rod Hill is a really nice guy and he was terrific to work with at first. I provided him with a long list of major and quot;to-dosand quot; in my home, including two bathrooms, a kitchen, fixing our front porch, building a deck, installing pot lighting fixtures and lots of other, more minor home renovations. <br /> We agreed that the first project would be the master bathroom. After I got renderings done and presented to the town for permits, we shopped together for all the fixtures, tiles, etc. He performed all installations, including flooring, walls, wainscotting, tiling, plumbing, electrical from start to finish. However, he was balancing several projects at once and I often received calls asking if I could wait a week or so while he completed another project which was he said was urgent usually as a result of hurricane Sandy. How could I be anything but understanding? However, the estimated time frame of start to end of the bathroom project became completely off not by weeks but by months. By the end I wondered if I should have been less of a pushover as what was supposed to be a one month project took 8 months from start to finish instead. <br /> Rod stayed within budget, which was a bit high but he was a friend of a friend and so I felt he certainly wouldn't screw me over so I was agreeable. Things began to unravel when I discovered that the corner of a major marble element of the bathroom had been chipped off, which would be difficult to repair and expensive to replace. He stated that I must have broken it somehow or someone else who had been in the bathroom after they had left. When I suggested he or one of his helpers (who were his son and father in law) may have accidentally broken the marble while they were painting the bathroom that day (having maneuvered ladders, full cans of paint and other equipment in the room), Rod became irate, and insisted his son would have told him had that happened. I honestly didn't care how it happened, I just wanted it to be fixed and I didn't feel it would be fair to pay for the repair as I had not broken it. <br /> Thankfully Rod was able to find a solution and ultimately fixed it and did not charge me for the repair. However he treated me differently after that incident. The smiling and joking and collaboration stopped that day. <br /> As we wrapped up the master bathroom project, I reminded him of other projects he had agreed to do with me, however, once he got his last payment, he stopped returning calls about when those projects would begin. <br /> I then learned that he had spoken to my next door neighbors and had agreed to begin several projects at their home within the next two weeks. I left him a text message that I understood he was going to be doing some work next door but that I would hope he would complete my projects first and that my neighbors were agreeable to wait. He never returned the text and never followed up with my neighbors. After that, he disappeared from my neighborhood. I did see his truck in town a few weeks later, working on a house that was damaged by Sandy. <br /> I have since found another contractor who is tackling my other projects. It was very unfortunate how things worked out with Remodel Plus as I felt Rod's workmanship was top notch and he was able to do it all. If he had other projects that he felt would take precedence or that he no longer wanted to work with me, it would have been more professional if he had simply told me that. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Montvale, NJ

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
