"Alex and Donavan were very thorough. Discovered more than what we called them for. We originally wanted information on sealing cracks to eliminate cricket infestation coming through cracks in stem wall. We were not interested in repairing foundation rebar which is typical in slab homes in AZ. They were knowledgeable and honest in their evaluation of our home. "

"My Wife and I would like to thank Tom Rubino of Landscape Drainage Solutions for his recent follow-up and the quality work installing our Stormwater Drainage System. After the record rain fall, we experienced two weeks ago, at our Scottsdale home, would have been flooded and facing considerable out-of-pocket cleanup and remediation costs. <br /> The Cost for having a well-designed stormwater drainage system installed by a highly professional, competent and qualified contractor like Tom Rubino and Landsape Drainage Solutions, paid for itself in less than 24 hours, great ROI in anyone's book. When Tom first assessed our situation and saw our photos of standing water in our side and back yards from previous storm events, he knew exactly how to resolve our stormwater drainage problem. Simply move the stormwater out of the side and back yards to the front yard and into street. <br /> Tom recommended using a combination of slot/channel drains annd five 9-inch box drains feeding into a 50 gallon heavy duty PVC sump tank with a submergible pump. The pump moved the captured rainwater over 75' from the sump tank to a and quot;popupand quot; installed in our front yard where the rainwater would be safely channeled into the street and untimely into the cities stormwater management system. <br /> Before we hired Tom Rubino and Landscape Drainage Solutions to do our project, we met with several other contractors who claimed they could solve our rainwater drainage issues. Their cost and approach to our rainwater drainage problems were all over the map. What sold us on Landscape Drainage Solutions was Tom Rubino, is honest and professional approach to our problem, his 2-year work and materials guarantee and lastly, Tom's sincerity, what he says he does. Landscape Drainage Solutions is a great Companty to do business with. Tom took the stress out of a stressful situation. Both my wife and I woul like to thank you again, Tom, for giving us peace of mind with our stormwater drainage issues--the system worked flawlessly. We have not seen a single pool of standing rainwater in either our side or back yards. <br />"

"The plumber was able to convert the fittings for our stove.  He showed up when they said he would, worked efficiently, and the cost was reasonable.  We've used TCR for years for other plumbing needs, everything from fixing a leaking sink to laying a new water pipe from the meter to our house, which required getting a back hoe into the yard and digging up about 50 yards of pipe.  They have been excellent, and always responsive, competent, and reasonably priced.  We recommend them highly!"

"Patrick, from Above the Rim, installed a new low lip shower for me. He and his team worked hard and got it finished much faster than expected, including demo and hauling away of old tub. I'm thrilled with the outcome! Look at the pictures!"

"I had purchased materials to do this job myself.  I and my son had removed all of the old roofing materials that were worn.  Unfortunately I hurt my shoulder and could not finish the job.  My patio roof was unprotected with monsoon storms threatening every day. <br /> Using Angie’s List and the BBB, I called several roofers and Solid Force Roofing returned my call.  They were able to complete the work the same day since I was basically stuck, physically unable to finish the job I had started.  I think it rained the next night. <br /> The owner removed all of the old materials where I had piled them in my side yard without my asking.  He also loaded my new <br /> materials that I could not load myself and I was able to return them for a full refund (store personnel unloaded).  <br /> Solid Force Roofing did an excellent job on the roof, they responded quickly when I was in a bind, and they put in extra effort that <br /> they did not have to do.  I have no hesitation in recommending them.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I like the quality of the plants. The personnel knew a lot about what they're doing. It's a really nice facility. They have a fairly good selection of plants and flowers. They've just in business in Flagstaff just for years and years and they're continually always the best place to go in town for plants."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Mormon-lake, AZ

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
