"They did a GREAT job. I had tried every carpet cleaner and nothing worked. Somehow they got it all and the rug looks brand new! They have a minimum cost of $75 so they cleaned two other area rugs. Everything looked great. I'll definitely call them again if needed."

"They were prompt and professional and got the job done on the same day as they came to give me an estimate. The carpets looked much better than they did for sure. They left me with a maintenance solution as well. Excellent work but very, very pricey so be ready for that! <br />"

"Even though the flooring that we had to match was no longer manufactured, Jerry Jones located wood that was a perfect match for the existing floor and helped arrange for the installation, which went perfectly."

"Perfect. Bob (owner) is a great guy and Steve was very professional and excellent in his craft as the installer. Friendly, hard working and on-time. Great work, money well spent. They were very upfront with the costs, time frame, etc. Would call them again in a heartbeat."

"Robin of New Image Tile, Inc and his helper, who do the tiling for Joe's Carpeting, did the most beautiful job of laying, matching and grouting our floors. They sealed and leveled the cement floor. Robin aligned the tile in a way that harmoniously met our existing tiles. You would really have to study the tiling to know that each tile is not unique and one of a kind. The sealing compound came amixed with the grout. We have had the tile down 1 month with all looking as new. We use a dustmop most of the time. Occasionally, we vacuum and use a steam mop. The tile is refreshing to my bare feet; it is not cold and forbidding for walking around. We are loving our choice and the artful work done. Joe's staff were helpful and let us bring tile home to make a decision."

"This company is excellent.  We had a very bad experience with another provider so were really tight on time to do the job we wanted done before our family arrived for Easter.  We went to Micael's store and as they did not carry the tile we wanted they sent us to Proline Tile in Crystal River, with whom they have an account.  We found our tile and contacted Michael's to do the job.  They scheduled for Jimmie to come out quickly and measure up and he said he could do the work in a week and a half's time which was great for our time schedule.  The tiler (Sam who works with Jeff Stearns team) arrived on the Monday morning and began installing the tile and completed both the bedroom and lanai by the Friday evening.  He worked very hard all week and was meticulous with the finish.  He is awesome with his work and the job he did is so professional.  The following Monday we had the carpet fitted and the guys who came to do that also did a fantastic job.  They were neat and even though we had a seam in the carpet you cannot see it.  The whole job is finished to a wonderful standard and looks amazing so whenever we need carpet or tile again, we will go straight to Michael's. <br />"

"As anyone with a motorhome knows, the carpets fade and discolor very badly. We were provided with an estimate over the phone from Color Your Carpet. The final price was within the range quoted. They arrived promptly at the specified appointment time. After a brief discussion about what color I wanted, they mixed up a color that was exactly what I was looking for! They were done quickly and we are VERY happy with the results! My 10 year old RV carpet looks almost like new, for a fraction of what replacing it would have cost. I highly recommend Rich and Color Your Carpet! <br /> <br />"

"We contracted Doc's Restoration to build a custom pantry cabinet for our kitchen to match the style of the existing base and wall cabinets. From our first call to request a quote to the final quality control inspection after installation, every step in the process was executed with the utmost professionalism and kindness. We love it and Doc's Restoration is first class in all aspects of their business. Prior to the cabinet project, my wife and I hired Doc's Restoration to perform handyman services on our recently purchased house and their performance was impeccable. We recommend Doc's Restoration without hesitation."

"The job went incredibly well. Six months ago I contacted Ben after seeing a kitchen his company had done for a former co-worker. He came by my house and we went over what I wanted done and he gave me a cost estimate. Since I have champagne taste on a beer budget, he tweaked the estimate for me and I gave him a deposit. I explained that I did not need an immediate start date because I could not draw out more money without paying a penalty, but I wanted to do the work early in 2017. Ben was very agreeable to my needs and the job actually began in late January 2017. It was completed on February 17, 2017---exactly four weeks to do the job, just as Ben told me. The crew, led by Ben's son Angelo were fantastic. The arrived at 8 a.m. each day and worked steadily. At the end of the day, they cleaned up before they left. They arranged the work so I could stay in the house and not have to board my dogs. The house is now gorgeous. The tile work in the kitchen and bathrooms is perfect. A wall and pocket door were removed from the master bath which resulted in a hole in the ceiling. No one would ever know that wall existed--the ceiling was closed and repaired flawlessly, leaving no trace behind. In addition, rather than remove a section of wall between the living room and dining room, the wall was cut down, giving the house a more open floor plan. Now I have a shelf area I didn't have before and this little bit of creativity is a wonderful touch. I have new interior doors on every room, new wood work throughout and newly painted rooms that added new life to an old house. And, not only did they put up my new curtain rods, they hung my new drapes. When LHI finished up, the job wasn't over. Angelo came back on his own time to hang the new mirror in my master bath (the plumber was not finished when LHI was) and did a little touch up. It was something that wasn't part of the contract, but LHI has a real commitment to their customers. Every thing they did, they did with an eye to detail. When I signed the contract, Ben told me, "If you aren't happy, we're not happy." Well, I am a very happy customer."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Morriston, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
