This is one of those reviews were the old saying if you can't say anything nice would apply if I didn't feel I owed it to potential customers.

I wanted to replace hard soldered connections to my water softener with flexible lines so if it ever got bumped the lines wouldn't leak as had happened once before.  Since this was such a simple job I looked for a cheap deal and got just that.  I bought the proper hoses, copper fittings and pipe, and cleared out the work area in advance to make this easy and quick. 

Things started off poorly when the plumbers (Mark the owner and his trainee Anthony) told me they hoped I had spare parts to the water softener cause "these inlets may break when I pull them apart".  That might be true if it was an older unit, but it only went in six months ago and I told him it was unlikely, but I was fine with him trying.  Mark thought he could do it safely, but wasn't promising it.  He then told me that there was a $25 dollar charge for the gas, flux, and solder.  Technically that is noted in the special where it refers to materials, but I think most would take that to mean the parts, not the normal things a plumber uses to do their job. 

At that point I was ready kick them out and just eat the $39 I'd paid, but I decided to salvage the call by having them look at a loose shower handle.  Turned out it couldn't be fixed because the valve stem had too much play in it (I contacted the manufacturer and they said they'd send a replacement valve stem for free).   I figured I'd endured these guys long and was going to send them on their way, but Mark talked me into trying to do the water softener.  It went well and no parts were broken.

When they were done Mark decided to scrap the $25 materials charge if I would write a positive review for which I promised I would write a review of his company and I have done that as a 'C' review is not a 'D'.  :)
