"My parents and I live in a old brick apartment building in Hoboken that is from the 1880s. The bathroom in our apartment had not been updated since the 1940s. We needed help ASAP. We checked out Cesar s page and wanted to hire him immediately. The reviews speak for themselves. Cesar is affordable, friendly, and very accommodating to any issues or concerns you have before starting the project. Two massive issues with our project were that my dad has spinal & walking issues, so we needed the floors clear of all tools and materials at the end of the each day so that father could walk efficiently through the apartment. The other big issue was that we only have 1 bathroom, so Cesar agreed to work with us on pulling the toilet off and on as every day finished so that we did not have to leave our building to use the toilet. Him and his crew are the best and take pride in their work so that owner is happy with the final result. We brought the bathroom down to the bare bones and rebuilt it back up. I worked with him every step of the way to make sure that he needed all materials to get the job done in the time we needed. This project was an intense remodel with some of the hardest demo and substrate materials that an old bathroom can have. He didn t think anything of it. He has veteran experience in the field and this remodel only took 3 weeks. "The job went very well and looked better than I imagined. I had a traditional pressure treated deck that was built 25 years ago. Maintenance was a nightmare to the point I stained the deck a solid color. This needed to be freshened up every couple of years. I tired of doing this chore so I contacted several contractors. Those contacted were not very enthusiastic and submitted extremely high bids without explaining exactly what materials they were using or a plan of attack. Brian of Carls Decking came with samples, brochures and a no nonsense explanation of what needed to be done to put me” in my happy place.” Brian inspected the frame and found it to still be level and in good shape. He suggested a total rip off of the planks and replacement of steps deck boards and railings. He even obtained the railing permit and made sure final inspection was handled. Pricing to do this type of renovation is not cheap but the final result was worth every penny! The crew that Brian sent over did an amazing job!
