They fixed an armoire door (antique French, so no hinges) when no one else was able to do so, and restored its veneer and cleaned the glass on the doors which had 200 years of mineral deposits. Next, they reupholstered a barrel chair, doing a beautiful job; it looks better than when I first bought it. Wilson has over 40 years of restoration experience with the Catholic Church in Italy and Ecuador, and it shows. "The price was fair for the job done which is important however the overall job was mediocre at best. My kitchen is challenging with an 18' cathedral ceiling. I anticipated the highest parts of where the wall meets the ceiling the paint lines might not be perfectly straight. Even managing my expectations... not a single paint line is straight, they are all wavy, at the baseboard, around the door, where the ceiling height is only 8' - not a straight paint line to be found in my kitchen. Jose was very nice, cleaned up when the job was done and seemed to work hard. For those reasons I would have liked to give a better rating but when I look at the details, the job is just barely adequate."

The latest involved renovating a garden room, which included repairing and painting walls, hanging new doors, re-plumbing a sink, installing recessed lights, rebuilding an outdoor stoop, and lots more. Rene does any project I've asked him to do well, and always does a little extra to make it even better. He discusses options with me and offers what usually turn out to be great suggestions. "Once again, AMS Home Remodeling, Frank, was able to clean up my mess.  After ordering a closet organizer unit online. I made the mistake of hiring another company to install the units - 3 total (2 reach in and 1 master).  This original company did not know what they were doing and caused me nothing but more problems (i.e. holes in walls, damaged pieces from closet unit that needed to be replaced, etc).  Frank was able to make time in his all ready busy schedule to come out to take a look at the mess.  He was able to get me into the schedule and complete the install and all repairs from previous contractors by the end of the week.  Frank and his crew (Bruno plus 1) did more than an outstanding job.  Final product is amazing.  I have used AMS Home Remodeling for a complete makeover in my home and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for an honest dependable contractor.  I absolutely LOVE these guys.
