"I have used Deluxe to clean my Persian-style Karastan carpet for 40 years. I wouldn't trust it to anyone else! They have always done an excellent job, including fringe replacement when needed. They are not cheap, but if you're looking for quality, they deliver. I highly recommend them. Note: price includes pickup and delivery."

"Work went smoothly. Originally was going to put sheet vinyl over existing floor. But with the size of the refrigerator, the workers had to pull the old flooring out. They did all that with no additional cost."

"I was shopping around for carpet and ended up going to Sam's after a contractor recommended them to me.  I went down to their showroom and found the exact carpet that I wanted.  I had found the same carpet at 2 bigger carpet stores but Sam's had it at 1/2 the price.  The carpet was installed in our home a few days later and it looks great.  I'm happy with the carpet and the installation.  "

"Rande showed up on time, efficiently set up his equipment and was done in about an hour. The carpets were dirty from pets and walking on them with shoes on. <br /> He set up a powerful floor fan to dry the carpet in the living room before he left and also gave us shoe/feet covers to wear so we could walk on the damp carpet. Even before the carpets fully dried, they were noticeably brighter! <br /> I am very happy with the outcome of the carpets and will call on Rande again in the future. <br />"

"Spoke to Greg M. from Abbey Carpet and he did an excellent job getting hardwood floors installed in my house.  He gave me an excellent price quote and made everything go smooth as possible.  Franklin then came to my house and did an excellent job installing the hardwood floors.  His work was clean and very professional.  <br>i would highly recommend Abbey Carpet.  And ask for Greg to assist you. <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"Van Briggle is far from the cheapest, and yet the end result was lacking. The crew who did the final finishing seemed to be getting on-the-job training, using my floor. I am still finding areas where the polyurethane 'pooled' and was not spread evenly. Bob was not pleasant to work with when issues arose. He requested a 50% downpayment- seems high."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Mount-Hermon, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
