It is an American Standard toilet from Home Depot but evidently, but it has an unusual 3 inch flapper. <br /> The technician came to my house and said, "I don't have a part for this toilet" but , he replaced the shut off float and said we would see if that solved the problem. By the end of the day, it was obvious that this did not fix the problem. <br /> Dun-Rite offered that I could find the part and they would install it for $125.00 or, they could supply the part and still install it for $125.00. I am not a plumber and I have no knowledge of plumbing parts, so I elected to let them do it. It took a couple of weeks for them to get the part. <br /> They finally got it done yesterday and it seems to be holding. I don't think they should have charged me the additional $125.00 because they did not fix the problem on  the first visit, there should have been some guarantee for their work. But, as anyone living in the Washington DC area knows, getting someone to work in your house on a small repair can be a nightmare, so I went with the company that had started the repair instead of undergoing the stress of finding a new company and have them start the entire process again. <br /> I will think very carefully before I take any more Angie's List special deals because I think I could have saved money by requesting a free estimate instead, which a lot of companies offer. <br />"

"The contractor removed one tank containing filtering media the added a larger one with a media that was sufficient for the iron content that had to be removed.  He further adjusted the system and corrected the water flow and backwash cycle.   Other tanks were cleaned along with the flow valve for proper functioning. The contractor was in and out in four hours using two workers that were both polite and competent. Everything was cleaned up and was left in better shape than when they arrived. From the time they put the new system on line our water has been perfect.  We are so happy after several contractors worked on our system for 10 years and none of them has gotten it right. <br /> WE RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR TO ANYONE WITH BAD DRINKING WATER!"
