"We had multiple conversations with Roof King/Deck King on the scope of work before signing anything - to sand the entire deck, seal, and stain it. From the start, there was continuous miscommunication amongst themselves on progress and timeline. Stain/sealant was added on top of dirt and sanding fragments before sanding was even complete. This resulted in us terminating the stain/sealant piece of the listed contracted task and taking it on ourselves to ensure quality. Former exterior deck paint was left in spots where they essentially just called it quits. They left deep divots and knicks throughout deck where their crew was rushing to complete. Quality control was absent the entire length of the project along with false remediation promises. They seemed to only behave professionally when apologizing or when collecting payments. Owner responded that he would personally take care of these issues 6 weeks ago, but he has not responded to any texts or calls in the last 4 weeks."

"The Salesperson (Stephen) is great to deal with, although, at times, very difficult to contact. This is understandable as he is not only managing his Employees but the Sales portion as well. The person who answered the phone when calling was, in my book, the worst Customer Service rep for this company anyone could hire. She was vague and told me lie after lie regarding many aspects of this project. That issue has been resolved. Fortunately, Stephen took care of our issue personally and all worked out for the best! The Installation crew (Rob and his 2 Assistants) were the best! They were cordial, knowledgeable and informed us with every aspect and any changes that needed to be made. They were awesome. In conclusion, Outdoor Installations came through with flying colors and would highly recommend."

"Will was very nice to start off with. He came willingly and gave us an estimate, as well as picked up our $2,600 cash deposit. Once the deposit was paid our level of responsiveness changed and we were always "next on the list." Will never did build our deck because he under bid the job and decided it wasn't worth his while. Where we are at today (one year later) - a police report is being filed today. Any theft over $1,000 is a felony in the State of Ohio and we just want our deposit back. We had originally worked with Matt back in 2019, and finally in the Spring of 2025 were able to begin the project. Every step of the way was very well executed. The initial plans were clear, concise and accurate. During the construction phase we got to know our builders Mike and Tom, who are absolute rock stars and know exactly what they are doing. We built a very large screened porch with some tricky roof integrations which required the utmost skill and confidence. Everything was done exceeding our expectations and we loved working with the team at River Mill. The build team was incredibly conscientious while working around our home, they would spend extra time sealing off the work areas to limit dust and debris, cleaned up their workspace daily, and were "Meticulous" about their craft. I felt as though they put the same care and effort as if they were working on their own home. They were very flexible and willing to make and discuss any design changes needed.
