Customers say: True professional

"We have a slight hill at the end of our gravel driveway, which washed out pretty badly during the recent hurricane rains. I was looking for someone to repair this, and get us another year out of the gravel driveway before we have it paved. I called three different companies, and Bill Cooper was the one who gave me the best explanation of what needed to be done. He wasn't trying to push me towards an expensive new driveway, but rather gave me options to do it right. In the end, we covered the loose gravel with a milling base, which looks better and sets me up to pave the driveway in a year or so, when it has appropriately settled. I think Bill really knows his stuff, and I'm very happy with the way things turned out."

"It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They did a good job and we are happy with the asphalt sealant they did. They were very professional and helpful. They were very respective and easy to talk to. I had a good time working with them. We did spend a little more because they had a square foot limitation and we were over it. They were upfront about it."

"Punctual, job well done, Able to remove fair amount of moss growing on garage roof with no damage to roof. Able to assess condition of all the roofs. Able to clean very soiled canvas awning—now looks like new! Would definitely hire 2MacsPowerWashing LLC (Justin McKenzi) again."

"Falls Chruch Paving just completed a reaving of our driveway and a portion of our shared pipestem. It was great working with George Small, the President of the company, and his crew were diligent, professional and focused on the work at hand. George is a good man, and he worked with us on pricing so that we could get the repaving done. The repaving looks great, and I appreciate working with George and his crew. I highly recommend Falls Church Paving. The crew was friendly, they cleaned up the area and did a professional job."

FAQs for asphalt paving repair or patch projects in Mount-victoria, MD

With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.

You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.

Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
