"Our two loveseat couches needed reupholstering because our cat had clawed the fabric into shreds. My cousin recommended G and M Upholstery. After the cat died, I called them and came in to borrow books of upholstery fabric. They were very kind about loaning their sample books and let me keep them for a whole week. They gave me an estimate and stuck to it. Their price for reupholstering was $700 per loveseat (including skirt and two throw pillows), and they got the fabric in a few days and did the work in three weeks. Another upholstering company would have charged $1080 per loveseat for labor and would have taken about eight weeks, plus two weeks for getting the fabric. Also, the only fabric we liked there would have cost $54 per yard on sale and could not be spot cleaned. G and M got spot-cleanable fabric that I liked at a discount: $26.90 instead of $32.90 per yard. They picked up and delivered the furniture at a mutually agreeable time and were polite and helpful throughout, even though it took me a few weeks to decide on fabric."

"I was shown which fabric books would have more traditional fabrics in line with the chair style and vintage. I found several possibilities, but I found one in particular which seemed suitable. The fabric was ordered in sufficient quantity to place the center of the design in the center of each of the back, the seat, and behind the back. The end result is just as I'd wished. The fabric is lovely on the chair. One front wooden caster (as fits the Eastlake parlor chair style) was fitted back into the leg which had a split at the attachment, and the leg was made sturdy. Some touch up on the wood was done. The innards of the chair were made more sturdy. This breathed new life into this chair but with a look in keeping with the vintage style. "Found Mr. Palacios' business in the yellow pages, phoned and e-mailed pictures, upon which he gave me a provisional estimate (might have varied based on foam or frame condition.) When he saw the chairs, the estimate stuck. He offered to have the furniture back to me in two weeks and they were delivered almost to the day. Amazing!!! Very professional gentleman. All transactions documented with written estimate and receipts for down payment and final payment. Mr. Palacios is fluent in English and Spanish and was most responsive to some scheduling problems we had, by phone and e-mail. I HIGHLY recommend this gentleman and his business."

"Their price was a little high. The price wasn't outrageous; they just quoted for the actual work, but not for the material that needed to be added in. The cost was far from what I wanted to do. They quoted $740 for upholstering plus the 17-yard of materials. It was a little more than I could spend, instead I could have bought a new sofa. They were very professional. I left the message and they called back within 20 minutes. I felt that they were a little too professional. They gave the quote, that's it and they hung up the phone. They said that they would come out to the house, but I had to go to the store to pick up the material before they come to my house. To drive all the way from my place to theirs, I would rather choose somebody closer."
