"Our job is replacement of broken siding boards. Three parts. First, initial on-site meeting with Tim Gentry. He was on time, courteous and explained well-known problems with CertainTeed siding. He explained options to repair existing fractures and cracks. After the initial meeting Tim sent an estimate/contract. It was consistent with onsite walk around. Second, the crew showed up on scheduled date and time. They came prepared with tools & equipment necessary to do the work. They had adequate replacement (Hardi-Plank siding) boards. The work was completed on schedule and included repair to caulking and replacement pieces in high spots. This is a family construction company - they worked together. The lead man, Gary - Tim's dad nailed loose boards to provide a uniform surface area, ready to be painted in two weeks. Finally, third - they removed damaged boards and cleaned up the work site. I appreciated the thorough construction process explanation given to me about the job. Thanks Tim."

"Everything was completed to my satisfaction. They did a very good job in some of the difficult areas. For example, painting around thick vines growing on porch columns and beam. Everything I pointed out in the inspection was taken care of promptly with no excuses. Communication was good with everyone involved. I would have no qualms about using company again or recommending to others. Following are a couple of minor issues we had. A few minor issues: We had 3 gallons of left over trim paint. That seemed like an error in estimating amount needed. On the other hand, there was only 1/2 gal. of main color left which is what I would expect for trim also. My hot tub was unplugged before they started because it was empty. The crew plugged it in when they finished without checking with me. It was several hours before I noticed it. I had to reset the heater unit but no damage was done."

The workmanship was technically and aesthetically perfect, and the crew was great at communicating with us throughout the process (inc: providing itemized bids, consistent check-ins from both the workers and the office, and dealing with all the odd things our 1920's house had to offer). Before installing the HardiePlank lap siding, they had to remove vinyl siding, as well as a layer of old, lead-painted wood siding hiding underneath it, and they dealt with it all safely and efficiently. The painting was done quickly and is absolutely gorgeous. They worked with our ideas and exceeded what I thought was possible. The price was more than fair for all the work they had to do, and the fact that the whole experience was interpersonally wonderful made it a great deal. "Dave painted our house 2 years ago and did an excellent job, so when we needed additional things done we called him and he did excellent work again. The siding work involved removing an outdoor faucet and fitting it around phone and electrical boxes. He replaced deck boards, cleaned and prepped everything, and used an "armor coat" paint that should last a long time. He cleaned and stained the fence in the front and side of the house. He is easy to work with and takes great pride in his work. Cost included all materials and was a great value. I would use him again."

"Replaced roof on my rental unit. Once they got the scheduling fiasco fixed, all went well. All were hard workers and friendly. Great price until I was told I needed a complete resheathing of the roof, (was noted in estimate). Here and done in 2 days. Communication between foreman was a little difficult as he did not speak english very well. Would I use them again, yes."

"Suburbia painted our 1930s English Tudor house in Portland after a major re-siding project. They also prepped and painted a 1960s duplex for us. In both cases, we were very happy with the work. One project was this year; the other was two years ago. The owner, Carlos Santos, is professional, friendly, conscientious and very hard-working. He did our estimates and personally oversaw both projects. His prices are fair, considering the quality of his work and his attention to detail. Our house looks gorgeous now, and the duplex looks much better. He goes the extra mile, both on prep work and finish work. His painting crews were friendly and hard-working, and they took good care with our property. In both cases, the work got done on schedule. He discovered some dry rot on the rental property mid-way and took care of it quickly and very fairly. Also, he doesn't disappear after the job is done: When we called him about a minor follow-up thing with our house, he came back right away and took care of it, despite being very busy. We would certainly recommend him to anyone, both for interior and exterior work."
