"Turned out that the fix was simple -- but we wouldn't have known what to do without advice from the technician. Really appreciate the service and expertise! Only complaint was that the tech took unnecessary time asking about products we use in the dishwasher. We have no complaints about the quality of washing and drying we are getting, and we're committed to using products that don't scratch or perfume our dishes or harm the water supply. Technician asked what we use and told us to "throw that away" and use recommended products. I can understand that certain products are recommended with certain makes of appliances -- but it would have taken 20 seconds to tell us what the recommended products are without having our choices criticized. Overall, we were thrilled to be able to get sound advice/help over the phone. Thank you for offering this service! And we will definitely call again if we run into trouble."

"Appliance Guy is, by far, the most professional repairman, of any kind, that I have ever hired!! From auto mechanic to bug spray, I have never had anyone service my needs the way Matt has. He has actually helped me with a few appliances and it has been perfect each time. He repaired my refrigerator compressor, my other refrigerator that had a massive water leak and freezing issue, and most recently, a Whirlpool Double oven that had some daunting issues. He has so much experience that he knew exactly what to do in minutes. He was able to troubleshoot and repair each one beyond my expectations and even saved me several thousand dollars by making recommendations regarding one of my other refrigerators. I could have paid him a ton of money to make a repair, but he advised that I shoukd replace the unit as opposed to spending so much money on the repair. He easily could have taken that the other direction and would not have known any better.. I am saying that he is super straightforward and honest, which is hard to find in the service industry. As a result, I 100% and 1,000 times over recommend The Appliance Guy!! I promise...I am not family LOLOL!!!"

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."
