"It took many weeks of bring samples home and taking them back before a decision was made. There was no charge or deposit required for the samples. When the order was placed, I had already done my homework with sketches and measurements. I had done research on the manufactures' websites where I was able to find specific installation procedures. I was asked to pay for the order in full at the time of ordering as this was a and quot;special orderand quot;. I did not have a problem with that as B-T Tile is a well established business in the community with a reputation that they don't want tarnished. <br /> The flooring was delivered 6 days before the estimated delivery date and is of exceptional quality for the price. The trim, while somewhat pricey, is also of exceptional quality and very well made as is the foam underlayment. B-T Tile delivered the 900+ pounds of flooring to my house. Some of the trim was the incorrect color due to a distributor mix-up and the staff took it back and reordered it immediately . <br /> I was thoroughly impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and their willingness to help me as I am a mid-level and quot;do-it-yourselferand quot;. I shopped two and quot;big boxand quot; stores and three independent stores for flooring and am very, very pleased with B.T. Tile. They are not and quot;hard selland quot; but rather very supportive allowing me to make my own decisions. I highly recommend B-T Tile in Uncasville, CT. <br /> . <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Sales, quote and overall installation went well and the floor looks very nice. My only objection has to do with an installation detail that went poorly and that's the reason for the B ratings. An unforeseen condition became apparent when the carpet was removed. The photo show that a wall had been removed and the location where the wall had been removed was patched with wood that didn't quite come up to the floor grade. The vinyl flooring was placed directly over the gap and as a result, when you walk on the floor in this area, the flooring flexes and it is quite noticeable. My comments relate to how this was handled. The installers, in general, did a fine job but they never addressed the gap issue with me or as far as I know, their manager. The installers are paid to install, apparently blind to consequences, and not problem solve; that's the issue. I didn't become aware of this problem until the job was nearly complete when I walked into the room to see the progress. I'm sure something could have been done to fill the crack and / or lessen the flex. It would have been nice for them to inform me (I was around all day) or at least let me know they discussed the issue with their manager. Perhaps nothing could have been done or perhaps something could have been done. At least I could have made an informed decision."

I have had hardwood flooring installed by them about 3 years ago, and was very impressed with the quality of the work, that I received a quote from them for new carpeting. "They are a small company with a good work ethic.  The owner (David Dahlman) provided me with a written quote of exactly what would be done and the installer (John) did exactly what they said they would do.  When the installer (John) got the flu two days before my installation I was called and notified immediately that there would be a delay due to the previous job being delayed.  I was called several times to verify when the work would be done.  John showed up exactly when he said he would, did a very professional job and cleaned up when done.  The owner came by half way through to make sure that I was satisfied with the work being done.  I was very pleased with the end product.  My only negative would be the fact that they will only install, and guarantee, tiles that they provide.  I found their selection limited but I was able to find something very close to what I was looking for. <br />"

The project went very smoothly, with great communication and follow-up. Just about everything was done to spec and on the correct timeline. At the beginning of the project we were provided a schedule, and they met almost every milestone; the entire project was completed on time, including pulling the necessary permits and passing all town inspections. We had a few change orders during the project, and they were able to work them in and still complete the project within the original time frame. The communication was phenomenal.
