Took a few extra days, but that was because we had to special order the shingles (local ordinance required either certification that we had R-38 insulation in the attic or install an upgraded type of shingle). When we were trying to decide between two colors, Ken made sure to find us samples to look at before deciding. At every step we were kept informed of what was going on. Crew was courteous, answered any questions I had and cleaned up every day. When an existing oddball sized attic fan vent could not be reused, Ken went out of his way to locate a suitable replacement when I could not find one. The installation also included passive roof vents (which I didn't expect). The price came in at my high end of estimate, but that was due to the size of the roof, a fair amount of wood that needed to be replaced, extra layers of shingle to be removed and the upgraded shingle requirement."

His crew worked tirelessly and did a great job on my very steep roof. Miguel also put insulation and an attic fan in the attic, which makes such a difference in the temperature upstairs! "David and his crew are amazing! They really know their "stuff". We have a 10 unit condo complex surrounded by lots of trees. Last year they did dry rot repairs, fixed or replaced gutters throughout the complex. It was quite the project! In the fall, we hired them again and they did a gutter cleaning. "The project is not quite done. I am awaiting a gutter replacement which should happen over the next couple of days. The roof itself is done and looks beautiful. I was contacted by Journey Builders a day or two after I submitted a request on Angi.com. Yero came out and inspected my 25 year old roof, telling me it would be probably be October before they could schedule it (inspection was June 7th, 20224). When he called in to see when they could schedule it, they had a cancellation and knocked $5000 off the price if I was willing to start the next day. Exactly 7 days later almost to the hour the roof has been installed! Way sooner than I expected. Yero was totally pleasant and very low pressure as opposed to the estimator from another company who had visited my home the prior day and spent 3 hours trying to sell me a really expensive roof with car salesman tactics. "Summit Metal is a very professional company. They gave us a bid to replace gutters, install gutter guards and paint the gutters. They did excellent work with great care to take care of all the details without cutting corners. We had some dry rot which was not part of the bid but was billed fairly. Each day they cleaned everything up so there were never tools, materials and/or debris left laying around. They showed up everyday working all day until the job was done which may sound silly but some contractors don’t do that. In short professional, reliable, competent, respectful and honest."
