"When I first met Edwin he was very polite. He promised to follow the explicit details of the project which were to match existing fence. He said he would start in two weeks. When he finally showed up it had been a month. He stayed for a few hours and went home sick after having brought a small amount of disgraceful materials. I mistakenly agreed to pay $300 for these in advance. The wood was cracked, some posts too large and the boards the wrong species. After being instructed not to use a specific post he did so anyway. Then proceeded to make the gate a foot shorter than fence. After he left I noticed the cross bars were pine which he argued and lied over until Angi got involved. To keep job he agreed to get cedar like the original fence. By then I had had enough manipulation and childishness. He insisted on finishing job and I did not want him to. So in fear he would, I had to keep and move the materials he lazily left. If I do not get my $300 back I am glad because the gentleman working for him was very kind and I don’t want Edwin having an excuse not to pay him. Edwin is dishonest, and immature. I do not recommend him! My parents recently passed away and I wanted the project done for my Mother at least by Father’s Day. I am disabled and my puppy who is helping me to survive is not safely contained in my front yard. The Summer is wasted because I cannot empty the garage and get my home ready for a future PCA. Edwin knows not what he did and didn’t do. Do not hire this person and God Bless!"

"I met first with Scott to explain what I wanted and to get estimates. Then Jim, the master deck maker, took over the actual work. I found both men to be professional, easy to talk with, good listeners, and flexible with my unique situation. I love that Jim doesn't jump between multiple jobs but starts and finishes one job at a time, so I'm not left with something half done wondering when he'll be back. Jim is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work, and rightly so. Really, he IS a perfectionist. My deck is not the most "upscale" version they can do, yet I've received compliments from others who stain decks for a living (Jim does not stain decks). Jim went the extra mile for us when we really wanted cable railings but had a limited budget. He found a rail system we could afford. When it turned out that the hardware was very fussy and time-consuming to install he kept at it until it was right while keeping to the budget. We asked for a gate with ballusters instead of cable railing to save a little money. But Jim found a way to do it with the cables, knowing the gate would not otherwise look right. Our perfectionist was so right about that; and the collars at the bottom of the posts and the mitered corners of the stairs, and hand selection of the individual boards, and the railings, and the copper flashing, all add up to a deck built with care and pride, by Jim and by his loyal crew. I could not be happier!"

"From the quote to the follow up I was so happy with the entire process. The work is not contracted out. It was done by the family who owns the company and their employees. They were quick, considerate and accommodating to the fact I had other work going on and they had to deal with dig safe because of the gas pipeline in my yard. The price was great and right on target with my numerous other quotes. They had a wonderful selection of fences and actually listened and asked questions. I have done a lot of work on my house and this company far exceeds any of the contractors I have used so far. So much so that I have never written a review before. I called 3 highly rated providers on Angie's List, Reliable Fence, Greg's Fence, and Cleveland Fence.  Phil from Greg's Fence promptly returned my call, promptly set up a time to come by and look at the fence, and after the meeting, promptly gave me a detailed quote -- and asked for a very competitive and reasonable $395, hundreds of dollars less than the other 2 quotes.  He alone saw that we could re-use appropriate sections from the existing fence and gate, which after all, were in good condition, and only the posts would have to be new, saving me money.  Summer is a busy time for fence installers, but Phil from Greg's Fence set up and stuck to a time schedule that worked for both of us, and he communicated clearly with me, letting me know in advance when he was coming out, when the work would be finished, and when he could meet with me so we could together see the work had been completed satisfactorily and he could be paid.  

I called Dig Safe to have them mark the property before Phil from Greg's Fence would start the work (maybe this was unnecessary as the fence posts don't go that deep, but better safe than sorry).  Once Dig Safe cleared the property, in a week, I called Greg's Fence to let them know I was ready to go.  They came out and carefully removed the fence section that needed to be removed, including the cement base under the posts, and competently installed the newly configured section where I wanted them to.  Phil correctly explained it would be better to relocate an existing post of the boundary fence so that the newly configured section would properly line up parallel with the front boundary of the property, and then competently relocated the post.  He put together the re-used fencing and gate sections and the new posts together so that the newly configured fence was solid, correctly installed, and easy to use.  He let me know ahead of time when he would be finished so that I could have an opportunity to review his work prior to paying him.  This whole process was easy, smooth, and satisfactory from start to finish.  The next time I have fence work that needs to be done, I will pick up the phone and call Greg's Fence again.  Thanks!"

"The above described work was done over a period of 3 years. During that time the quality of the work has been very good, project costs very reasonable, and schedules adherence excellent. 
While painting the exterior of my house, a large section of rotted siding / fraing was uncovered. The unexpected repairs were done quicly, efficiently, without any change order mark-ups, all as part of the project.
Replacing the windows at the church property required gaining access to 2 units rented out to 3rd parties. There wwere never any issues raised about costs / schedule delays that may have been impacted due to the need to coordinate with the tenants. Replacing all of the siding on the church owned apartment building (done in a historic district) was done professionally, with high levels of concern for safety (both for the workers and the public in the vicinity of the work area), cleanliness,and proper execution of the work.
Working with Ivaldo is more of a partnership where the goal of completing the job is considered paramount, not the profit at the end of the work. When applicable, Ivaldo has also offered alternative means of completing a given task which will cost the owner less, thus less income for Escala, but as I tried to indicate earlier it seems the "relationship" is more important to Ivaldo than short term profits.
