"I hired Arnold Masonry to find and fix a water leak in my chimney that had somehow survived two previous masons / chimney repairs, re-flashing twice, and replacing the roof. The good: * He was the only mason (of this round) who even returned my call. * He was the first to suggest that he starts by finding the leak with a garden hose. * He found the leak on the first day, and identified that the problem was a crumbling chimney cap due to inferior construction. * He replaced the chimney cap, and the leak has stopped (even through two hurricanes). * Total time: 3 days of labor, totaling about $4500. The bad: No complaints about the masonry performed, but * The leak-finding method only works if he actually sprays water into the leak. I didn't mind-- The interior stains were so bad that I didn't mind making them worse and I was pretty desperate to fix the problem-- but it makes the damage worse before it makes it better. (And you need to sign a waiver for the damage.) * He wants to be paid cash, on a daily basis. However, he does not seem to like to make predictions about how much each day will cost, so you either need to have a lot of cash on hand or run out to the bank when he finished for the day."

In a single day they installed the entire system and left the place clean (within reason). This included jack hammering more than 30 feet of concrete floor and complete water ejection. Unbelievable. "We signed a contract with Vincent's wife (she is the owner of the business) early May 2018. The terms of the contract for payment were 25% at signing 25 % when the job was stared and the last 50 % when the job was complete. Unfortunately Vince deceived me by starting the job earlier ( two days worth of work) that required collecting the second 25 % of payment (needing the money immediately). He then did not showing up for 2 months. When Vince finally showed and finished the driveway preparation it was nothing but excuse after excuse when the work would be completed. What bothered me the most was when Vince had the nerve to insult my intelligence and make up an excuse that the paving machine trailer had two (not just one) flat tire on the day it was scheduled to come to my home. The job was finally finished 5 months later. Vince was at my home 5 days in five month! Vince didn't even show up to supervise the final paving, only his wife to collect the check. Vincent was very professional and informative (talks a lot), he takes pride in his work and pays a lot of attention into detail he is VERY METICULOUS ABOUT HIS WORK! I'm happy with the work he provided. I would only recommend him if you are willing to be deceived by his made up stories, with his timing. Or you are willing to wait several months to have the work completed and are willing to put out a large sum of money at one time and then wonder when the work would be finished."
