"Carpet is repaired and I wouldn’t know it was ever damaged. Shane was very professional he called right away to come out and look at the carpet. We then set up a day that worked for me to have it repaired. I will definitely use carpet crafters again when needed."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Tom Saint and his crew did an amazing job renovating our entire house. We had a pipe burst which cause a lot of damage and Tom was able to restore the house to better than before. He gave us practical and cost conscious options and made some really great suggestions about design and features. Tom and his crew restored our hardwood floors, gutted and rebuilt the kitchen, dealt with plumbing and electrical, and painted the walls and trim among several other things. We are so happy with the final result – it looks extremely high quality, professional, and modern! Tom was a pleasure to work with. We found him to be an extremely patient, responsive, and communicative. He was on-site frequently and very easy to reach. I don't think Tom ever let more than an hour go by in responding to a call or txt message – usually it was closer to 5 minutes which really speaks to his level of customer service. His whole crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, and fast working. I highly recommend Tom and would definitely work with him again in the future."

"The entire experience from requesting the quote to scheduling the work to having the work done was so easy. The workers were fast, efficient and skilled. Everyone was polite and respectful and were willing to go the extra mile to ensure that understood the quote and was happy with the work. I had a new roof put on and the dormers rebuilt with new cedar siding and new construction windows. Everything was left better than I expected. I am so thrilled with the work that was done, I'm planning to have Casanova Remodeling do all of the work on my home."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in New Milford, CT

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
