"Norman was personable, as was his son.
Options were spoken of and seemed good, and he contacted a supplier by phone to find out if the double sided coal basket was available and a custom one could be made.

He went up in my attic to look at my hvac problem also.
Gave me some verbal recommendations from what was visible without the unit on long enough to see the water leak.
He looked at the outside unit, too.

I think the visual inspection went well, but not worth the $169.00 fee.

The estimate for all fireplace work was emailed and a follow up phone call made to let me know the estimate was sent, but for removing the couple dozen bricks from my fireplace the estimate was far too high @ $900.00.

And I thought the remainder of the estimate to prepare the opening and place the ventless coal basket inside was also too high @ $2250.00.
The price of the basket itself was acceptable, custom made with shipping included.

I wrote back that I thought the estimates were too high, and asked if he determined where my fireplace chimney was sealed, but did not get a response.
I called to get an hvac estimate sent and have not heard back.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"We had an appointment for 10:00 am, but he showed up at 8:50am, and did not call to see if it was ok. It wasn't but I let it go.The estimate was for 1950.00. The roofer was suppose to replace a sheet of plywood, if it could not be renailed down. I had to run an errand, and was gone an hour.  When I returned, I was informed that he had to replace an additional sheet of plywood, and the cost would be an extra $50.00. Now, all he had to do is call me to get an ok, but he didn't. He just sprung it on me when I returnd. Or, he could have knocked on the door and talked to my wife. The cost is now up to 2000.00.
I was told that the metal vent stacks needed to be replaced, or I would have a problem, he said that they really needed to be replaced. Now, there was seven such vent stacks, and he tells me that he normally charge 100.00 a peace to replace them. I told him no way. Then he said how about 500.00? So i let him replace seven of them for 400.00.
The contractor advertised that he would install a supplied attic vent for 99.00 on Angie's website. Even though I had purchased my own, he charged me 150.00 to just install it. I had to do the electrical myself. My cost is now up to 2400.00At the completion of the job, I asked about the work guarantee, he could give me anything in writeing to guarantee his work.
I would not use this cntractor again because of his work ethics on how he does business. So far, I am satisfied with the work, but the documentation that was given to me after the job, is unprofessional. No written guarantee. But, I take full responsibility for this because, I shoul have gotton at least three estimates."

"

The job was professionally done; they cleaned and picked up all debris, great job by Nick and Steve! The living room bamboo flooring came out beautiful and bath room tile the same, I have already asked Richard Cooper to give me an estimate on a patio cover build and installation, and will be using his services for other work in the future!!

Richards?s crew was proficient, professional, friendly and accommodating could not have asked any better?
Fantastic Job !! Well done.

"I called them and they called back the next day. We made a time for them to come out. They inspected the chimney top and bottom and gave me estimates for a lot of different work that my chimney/fireplace needs. I can't afford to do it all at once and I'm not sure I will have it all done but he seems to know what he's talking about. Initially, he seemed a bit pushy on the bids but may have a very talkative style. He was more calm when he came back to do the work and said to call him when I was ready."
