"The salesman was not pushy as previous reviews cited. I did have to initiate the calls to find out about my order status, on several occasions. He was quick on his response after my inquiries. On the day of installation, the crew was on time and vocal about their objectives. Overall they were quick and the quality of work was good. A friend of theirs came and hung out with them for the entire job until they moved into my backyard. This concerned me because this person was able to see inside my house, etc. When the job was done, they did not clean up some of their trash and they scratched up several of my window sills and walls inside the window cove. I had to putty and paint myself. They also cracked a tile in the bathroom and did not acknowledge this upon doing so. I caught it in the final inspection but they tried to act like it was just an accident so they should not have to fix it. I told them to make it right, it's what good companies do even when they make mistakes. They gave me 10 dollars from their pocket to buy tile epoxy for me to fix myself. The balance owed was 10 dollars more than what my contract said after I paid the deposit. The lead installer made it look like they were doing me a favor by not charging me the extra 10 dollars. I had to make it clear that no favors were done. Finally , the quality of the windows are less than their competitors. You get what you pay for. Their windows are only good for a reno and a quick sale or a rental property. If you plan on getting good noise reduction and living in your home, don't go with Allstate.

I purchased a "Big deal" for 4 hours of wood rot repair for $149.  Leonard contacted me, set an appointment, and arrived on time.

Made a list of materials, and I went to Home Depot, while Leonard started working.  He removed the rotted parts, fabricated the replacement pieces, and installed. (Glued with construction adhesive, and caulked with exterior caulk)

He did very good work.  can hardly see any seams.

Near the end of the 4 hours, he had finished the garage door frame and had started on the exterior door.  We agreed to continue working to finish. 

He worked for nearly 3 more hours, but charged for only 2.

Did excellent work.  Would hire again.

"It did not go as well as we had hoped.  He missed straightening out/tightening  some of the siding slats and I had to call him back to make corrections in the places which were still sagging.  He did not appear to understand the type of repair that was needed to straighten out and secure the siding slats.

"As a former installer, the salesman was very experienced and knowledgeable, and able to recommend an aesthetically pleasing and viable solution to a problem drainage area. He was also able to clearly explain the problem with the load on the existing gutter and the reason increasing the slope even more was not possible due to a slight curvature in the roof 's edge. So the salesman made sure there were no 'surprises'.
while the work was impeccable, and there were no added costs or other surprises, there are two areas I see for improvement: 1) worker language and 2) scheduling.
Regarding the first point, during the execution of the job, the helper evidently lost his temper and went into a screaming foul-mouthed (f******, etc.) rant for several minutes. I heard this from inside my home, as I'm sure did my neighbors, and any children who may have been at home during the summer.
Regarding the second point. The office staff calls to schedule work the very next day. This is OK as my schedule was pretty flexible, but I had to turn down the first scheduling call. I was able to accept next day scheduling the next time they called.

"After cleaning the gutters and inspecting the roof, I asked them to remove the small tarp from the roof. They did as I asked but then told me that the person who installed the tarp had used nails that put holes in my roof. It seems that once they realized on the first nail that by removing the tarp I would have a hole they should have told me. Instead they then offered to repair the holes for $195.
