I was introduced to Tom and Roger when I discovered a mice problem in my apartment that my building (the handymen, super, and others) tried but was unable to fix. (Tom and Roger were recommended by an architect friend who hired them for his own apartment.) Tom and Roger came in with gusto: they heard my concerns, understood the problem, took it to heart, and treated it like it was their own. They got to work exploring my apartment, leaving no surface or crevice unexplored. They found holes that the building had missed. They sealed everything, even the tiniest holes. They never once played down the problem or disregarded it as something unimportant - rather, they approached it with complete seriousness and even spoke with an exterminator to make sure that they were caring for it to the utmost degree (they even made suggestions like putting all of my dried goods in the fridge as to not leave a single stone unturned that could continue to attract mice). Ultimately, they solved the problem (when no one else had!)....and it was clear that they wouldn't stop in my apartment until the entire problem was addressed and done. I really appreciated that they came in with such a thorough and holistic approach. I loved working with them so much that I hired Tom and Roger to work on a bunch of other tasks in my home (sealing floorboards, caulking the tub, fixing grout in the kitchen and bathroom, fixing up a home office, staining the deck, insulating around the radiator, and so so much more - I had a long list!). The items were each different and they knew how to do them all. There is nothing that these guys can't do! Everything that Tom and Roger worked on was done with great care and attention to detail. They firmly believe that any work should be done by these principles - it's part of what makes them stand apart from the rest. To boot, they are lovely people! It was truly joyful working and having conversations with/getting to know them while we were in the apartment together. Working with Tom and Roger was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Every day, they showed up early (early!) for the job. Throughout the day, they checked in to ensure that my list of priorities was being met (even at the end of the day, they didn't leave without checking that they had tended to my priorities.) I appreciated how they continually made the effort to ensure that we were exactly on the same page. I never felt rushed. I always felt heard. Truly, working with both Tom and Roger was nothing but wonderful. My only regret is that I don't have more jobs to give them - the experience was so great that I wish I could keep working with them! It goes without saying that I will work with Tom and Roger again in a heartbeat (in fact, they're the only contractors I ever want to work with moving forward!) and recommend them without hesitation to my closest friends (in fact, I already have!). "This is an overdue review. I hired Bernie and his team for a kitchen remodel in June 2021, after he did an excellent job with my three bathrooms in 2020. The kitchen remodel was also excellent. His works are efficient, hardworking and clean. My remodel took two weeks, as he had quoted and for the exact price he had quoted. I would hire him and his team again and I referred them to a coworker for her bathroom project. She was also very pleased with their work."

"After the toilet was changed on 9/1/23. The plumber refused to caulk the gap at the base of the new toilet. Gaudioso didn’t respond to my request to fix it. That left a gap and roaches were roaming out from that gap into my apartment for 11 days until I hired a handyman to caulk it. It costed me extra money and emotional distress"
