"We recently remodeled a 100 year-old Craftsman home. We initially discussed the project with Mose Troyer and were very impressed with his knowledge and advice. The project required replacing and replicating a considerable amount of the woodwork. Mose also modified the existing Shaker kitchen cabinets. Modifications included building new cabinets to match the existing ones. He also adjusted several cabinets while maintaining the original look of the cabinetry. Mose also completely built an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the Shaker style. He installed new baseboards and window trim. He rebuilt and repaired existing window trim in several other rooms. Mose integrated the repairs to the point that after painting no one could discern that the sill had been repaired. His work was flawless. In addition, he walled off a doorway and built a bookcase with enclosed shelves in the lower half. He installed 10 new doors with hardware in line with the original style of the home. He also installed two barn doors with hardware. He is conscientious and easy to work with. Without his creativity and craftsmanship the project would never have been as successful and we’re thrilled with the results. Without reservation, we highly recommend Mose for cabinetry/carpentry work."

"Sembros Design redid our kitchen in the summer of 2021. This included demo of the kitchen, removal of the floors thoughout much of the first floor. They provided a 3D design which we tweaked through the process. They provided an estimated start time at the time that we signed the contract along with a detailed schedule. The start time and schedule were followed very closely. They obtained permits, removed a portion of a wall and moved plumbing/electric. A large custom island was built and semi-custom cabinets were used on the surround. They worked well with our appliance company to install a cooktop and microwave. There were no hidden costs or surprises. Overall, Sembros were a pleasure to work with and met all expectations."

After interviewing a number of possible contractors, we were impressed by Jeff (the owner) and his knowledge, insights and suggestions regarding the project. We were also impressed by the fact that he is a second generation cabinet maker, and when we saw photos of the wooden boat he and his father built, we were convinced he could handle any unique problems that came up in the kitchen project. Greg, was the person who was on site every day and personally did much of the work. He was beyond amazing. His careful attention to detail (from removing a wall to making sure each outlet was correctly aligned) was like he was doing the project in his own home. Greg made sure everything was as it should be, even if it meant more work for him. At the end of each day, he would make sure everything was cleaned up and put away to minimize any inconvenience on our part. He was also a pleasure to have around. In fact, when the project was over, we felt a tinge of bittersweet as he would not be around the house anymore. Our project was somewhat unique as one wall of cabinets made a 45 degree turn. While 90 degree turns (any corner) are easy as there are cabinets made for that purpose, a 45 degree turn requires considerable adjustments and craftsmanship. Jeff and Greg were totally up to the challenge. Jeff even customized the drawers as necessary to give us the maximum storage space possible. Throughout the entire project we never had a problem or issue with Jeff or Greg, even when we made a last second change or two, they were most agreeable to comply with our wishes. We TOTALLY recommend without any reservations or hesitations. Great quality work, reasonable pricing, excellent quality people who earn (and keep) your admiration and respect."

"We couldn’t be happier. The upstairs is beautiful. Tim kept everything cleaned up while working, showed up promptly and kept sub use to a minimum . Everyone who worked in our home went out of their way to make sure we understood all work, and were polite and respectful. Phase 1 went so well that we have hired Tim to do phase 2 - take the kitchen back to studs, move it to a new location, create a laundry room (it’s out of the basement now Yea!) and walk-in pantry, new half bath, change all electrical to white, wood floors, all new doors, new baseboards and crown molding. We are part way through phase 2 and couldn’t be happier. Our home is becoming the beautiful dream home we’ve always wanted. We feel blessed to have found Tim and highly recommend him.
