"The crew was great. Maurice, the owner called to let me know that materials and a dumpster would show up on Friday, and that they would be out on Saturday to complete the work. They ripped off the old asphalt roofing and the rotted plywood and gutters and had new wood and metal up in one day. And when they did the clean up they left the area looking nicer than it did before they showed up. I will absolutely be using this company for the new front deck."

"Contracted Timberland architectural shingle roof. Work was performed as promised. Job was performed professionally, job was complete and thorough. Roof looks nice and improves the appearance of my house. I was surprised at how fast they could come out to do it and was somewhat unprepared to have the roof done on a freezing winter day, but it seems to be ok. No additional steps were taken to seal the roof shingle tabs individually with silicone due to the freezing weather, but was promised that the roof would seal in a couple of weeks. Nice clean up around the outside of house after the work was done."

"Hired Melvin and his crew to check on our leaking shingle roof. He checked out the leak, then put a gorgeous metal roof on our home. Took them one day. Melvin went above and beyond. Ended up hiring him to tear out a massive concrete patio and replace it with a deck. He removed and relocated our flagpole with his bare hands. "We called Machen for an estimate to tear off our old roof on our house and detached garage. They were very responsive and Jodi even came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable regarding the materials and products we needed, and we were impressed that he actually climbed the roof to take all of the measurements, where other contractors we had contacted did not. The estimate we received was fair considering that the roof deck would need wrapped and the amount of ice guard we needed. Jodi and his team were on time every day and got right to work. They took their time on the job and were very conscientious about the work performed to ensure it was done correctly. Jodi takes a lot of pride in ensuring the job site remains neat and takes a lot of care to ensure they thoroughly clean up before leaving for the day. We ran into heavy rain halfway through the project and Jodi even came out on the weekend to ensure that the roof was water tight before the rain hit. The new roof looks great and we are very pleased with the end result!"
