"TK Contracting did various jobs on a large remodel project that took place over 6 weeks. They did extensive dry-wall repair, replaced walls, millwork, screen doors, flooring. "Overall we I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Classic Exteriors. Rick was fantastic and friendly. He came to our home and told us a vision he had, while asking us for opinions and what we would like as well. The work took a bit longer than expected, but that’s normal when it comes to construction and remodeling. Rick was very easy to contact and always had a solution. The only thing that I wish would have been better would have been the communication with the construction workers. There was a huge crack in our foundation that was found after taking the walls down and the workers continued with putting up studs for new walls. I had to ask about it and then call Rick to discuss the crack for it to be taken care of. We had to put steel beams in and our foundation could collapsed and we would have had no idea because they did not mention to me that it was a problem. As soon as I called Rick though, he immediately took care of the situation and got us our steel beams, then finished the basement. It looks amazing and we love spending time down there! "I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "Very prompt initial phone call return - has materials delivered on scheduled. Work crew very good - Hardworking from start to finish. Did not require payment until job was complete and satisfactory. Now the rain will tell the rest of the story.

UPDATE-6/6/15: 

Earlier this spring, the roof began to peel and blow off. It wasn't properly secured at the edges. I called Bazell to come fix it, and they came and fiddled with it, but didn't really do much of anything helpful. Consequently, the roof has started leaking in places. He indicated to us initially that the roof should last us a good 20 years or so, but we've called and called, and he hasn't returned to really fix it. I don't think it would realistically take much more than $30 or so to repair it adequately with screws and washers."
