"I had a very disappointing experience with Schoenherr Roofing. Can't believe 500+ 5 star reviews are true. I signed a contract at my home and later attempted to cancel within a few days after realizing I wanted to go another direction. They refused to return my deposit, even though they had not started any work, had not pulled permits, and had not ordered any materials. Most importantly, they also failed to provide the legally required "Notice of Right to Cancel" under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule, which gives homeowners the right to cancel contracts signed at their residence. After multiple emails communications, they finally agreed to release me from the contract but still kept my deposit ? despite having done absolutely nothing. I consider this unfair and not in line with ethical business practices. I?ve initiate to file complaints with the Michigan Attorney General, BBB, and FTC. I would caution anyone considering doing business with this company ? make sure you fully understand the"

"On Tuesday, October 28, at about 2:20 p.m., two representatives from Power Home Remodeling came to my home in Madison Heights, Michigan — a white male named Dustin and a white female driving a vehicle with Michigan license plate EYC 5730. They ignored my clearly posted “No Soliciting” sign, which even lists the city ordinance number, and the female solicitor knocked on my door anyway. When I answered, their initial sales pitch was that they had just completed a job in the neighborhood — a tactic that shows if you hire them, they will harass your neighbors to drum up more work. I confronted them immediately and informed them they were in violation of Madison Heights Ordinance §7-68, which explicitly prohibits soliciting at any residence displaying a “No Soliciting” sign — permit or not. The two clearly knew they were in the wrong, because as soon as I told them I was calling the police, they stopped knocking on doors and fled straight to their car a couple blocks away. I followed them to obtain their license plate number and encountered their supervisor, another white male, who argued aggressively, insisting their permit allowed them to ignore “No Soliciting” signs — a completely false claim and a clear display of ignorance of the law. The supervisor’s behavior was arrogant and unprofessional, defending conduct that is plainly illegal under the city ordinance. I have video evidence of the encounter and have filed a formal report with the Madison Heights Police Department and City Clerk’s Office, including the vehicle details and company name. A company whose representatives harass neighbors for business, and whose supervisor defends breaking the law, shows no respect for homeowners, property rights, or the community. Avoid Power Home Remodeling at all costs — if this is how they behave before earning your business, imagine how they’ll treat your neighbors and you afterward."

"I thought that Darious and his team of vinyl siding installers were great! They went above and beyond. The communication was excellent. Every day they cleaned up after they were done. Excellent job! The gutter team was fast. Gutters look great. Left a few too many nails around. Overall, excellent work."

FAQs for vinyl siding install or completely replace projects in New Baltimore, MI

Insulated vinyl siding significantly improves your home's thermal resistance compared to standard vinyl products. The foam backing helps minimize heat transfer through your exterior walls, particularly addressing thermal bridging through wall studs. While the exact performance depends on the specific product and installation quality, this improvement can contribute to more consistent indoor temperatures and potentially reduced energy consumption. For maximum energy efficiency, insulated siding works best as part of a comprehensive insulation strategy rather than as a standalone solution.

The additional investment in insulated vinyl siding delivers multiple benefits that many homeowners find worthwhile. Beyond potential energy savings, the foam backing enhances durability against impacts and weather conditions. The insulation layer also helps reduce exterior noise transmission and creates a more solid feel than standard vinyl products. In regions with temperature extremes, the improved thermal performance can enhance comfort while potentially reducing heating and cooling expenses over time. The improved rigidity also helps maintain its appearance longer than standard vinyl options.

The longevity of insulated vinyl siding depends on several factors, including installation quality, local climate conditions, and maintenance practices. With proper care and regular cleaning, these products maintain their functionality and appearance for many years. Manufacturers provide warranty coverage that reflects their confidence in the product's durability. Environmental factors like sun exposure intensity and extreme temperature fluctuations can influence how the siding ages over time. Regular inspection and prompt attention to any damaged areas help maximize the system's effective lifespan.

The investment required for insulated vinyl siding on a home with 2,000 square feet of exterior wall surface falls between $8,000 and $24,000. This considerable range reflects variations in material quality, installation complexity, and regional pricing differences. Homes with multiple stories or intricate architectural details require more labor hours and specialized techniques, positioning them toward the higher end of the price spectrum. Obtaining multiple detailed estimates from qualified contractors provides the most accurate picture of costs for your specific property and preferences.
