"The initial work was well-done. I had really gotten behind in my yard, and several young fellows arrived and ripped out some old shrubs, a raised bed that was no longer in use, did shrub & tree trimming. Later, the owner, Brock Almond, proposed a monthly rate to do lawn-care year-round. That was probably in the summer of 2015. In the summer of 2016, I returned from a long vacation to find that my yard looked pretty neglected. I texted Brock with a photo of weeds that were taller than I was in the raised beds in my back yard, and asked to be released from the contract, as it wasn't cheap. I think the business had grown faster than he could keep up with. Brock was always very nice to work with, and offered to make amends. I just didn't feel I could continue with them as a lawn service though, because of that one experience. I'm sorry I didn't save any photos, and overall feel they deserve a B rating."

"Really well. Two workers showed up on time and came to the door to make sure I knew they were there and to confirm the work. Another representative stopped by about an hour into the project to make sure everything was going well and to make sure we didn't have any concerns or additional needs. The team worked hard from the time they arrived and completed everything in 3.5 to 4 hours. My wife and I are pleased with the outcome and how everything looks."

"I contact Intrinity Landscaping and spoke to Nick Sagnella about laying sod in our back yard.  I told Nick that time was a big factor for us because we were having a party that Saturday and I needed the work done by Friday.  We spoke on the phone Monday around noon and he said he could pass by our house for an estimate that same day at 6 pm, giving me time to get home from work.
Nick arrive on time and after a small introduction to each other he went right to work with the estimate.  I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge he possessed about the different types of grasses and what sods would work best for what we were looking for.  We decided, with his recommendation, on laying Bermuda sod in our backyard and he would get it done on Friday just in time for our event the next day.
He arrived to our house on Friday early in the morning right before I headed out to work and assured me that by the time I got home from work, our backyard would have a brand new lawn.  Just as he had promised, our yard looked amazing!  He was just laying down that last few pieces in place when I walked into the backyard.  I was so happy with the look of our new lawn and yard!  Just then my wife and daughter arrived home from work and school, and were so excited and happy!
Nick's work was incredible! He was professional, punctual, honest, very clean and mindful of our needs.  We have used many landscaping companies in the past to maintain our landscape but none has been as good as Intrinity Landscaping!  We recommend Nick and his company to anyone who is looking for the best at their craft and at very reasonable prices.
Sincerely,
Nick, Raquel and Krystal

"We needed to find a Contractor to carry out services for one our clients. We contacted Outdoor Artisan who submitted a proposal to our customer and one the job. We were able to work with Outdoor Artisan simultaneously on this outdoor project. After this project, we will continue to refer Outdoor Artisan's to any of our clientele that is seeking to have Outdoor Patios, stoneworks, ponds, or kitchens. Because we referred them, our client was exceptionally happy with us for referring Outdoor Artisan for this project."

"After getting quotes from three different companies, we chose Woodlands to do the project for us.  We were told the work would take 4-5 weeks.  They were at our house off and on from Jan 2013-Sept 2013.  The weather had a lot to do with the delay of the project.  Having said that, the slope of the yard was also admittedly underestimated.  Overall, we are pleased with the end product, but with how much money we spent on this project we should be 100% happy with it and we are not.  The attention to detail was lacking.  Had we seen a drawing of the project prior to its start we would have done it differently.  The big wall is at an angle, not parallel with our house.  It was hard for us to picture what it would be like.  I mentioned it to one of the workers prior to laying the first stone and was told it was too late to change it now.  My fault for not demanding them to change it and I now regret it.  That is not what bothers us most about this project, though.  Prior to their start on the side of the house, we asked for a drawing multiple times because, again, it was hard for us to picture it.  For the drawing that we asked for, we were given a copy of our survey with a few lines drawn on it signifying the stone steps.  Unbelievable.  Said lines did not even go up all the way to the driveway, which is what we told him we wanted and is also what he initially said we would get.  He told us there would be steps with a landing or two, which is exactly what we wanted.  What we ended up with are very steep stone steps with no landings and no railings.  The steps do not go all the way up to the driveway.  Once the steps were started, I mentioned that they looked really steep and we were told they were no steeper than the stairs that go down from our deck.  We did not end up with exactly what we wanted.  I regret not causing more of a stink about it, but after nine months I think they were as ready to be done with our house as we were ready to be done with them coming to our house.  What are we left with?  An uneven backyard and steep stone steps with sharp edges that I don't want my kids going up and down because I am afraid one little misstep would really injure them.  So much for having good access from our driveway down to our backyard.  We have since had a couple different companies out to our house to give us quotes for a patio.  They both mentioned, without us prompting them, that the steps are steep and they would have put in at least one landing.  We have chosen a company to do our patio and before the project even gets started we will have at least two design meetings with them in which we will be shown a 3D rendering of the project.  We already had one and it was great to be able to picture the actual project.  There will be no surprises when it comes to the design.  Hindsight is always 20/20, but we really regret not demanding this with our back and side yard projects.  Again, with the amount of money we spent we should be 100% happy with the project.  Bottom line is to be sure you know what you are signing up for.  Scott is really a nice guy, but we think there just needs to be more attention to detail.

".Initially things went pretty well. They were one of the more reasonable quotes we received so, we decided to give them a shot. We asked them to come out as soon as possible since we just purchased the house. The previous homeowners stopped maintaining the yard once we were under contract and the leaves were piling up pretty badly
They blew leaves and mowed the front but, unfortunately that killed all the batteries for their equipment ( I guess that's part of the "green" thing) blowing the leaves, we do have A LOT of trees, so they could not do the back. That said the front looked really good and we were happy.
After that we couldn't get any communication out of them, I called and emailed several times to see when they were coming back, how to get them paid, etc... nothing. After finally getting a hold of them about a month or so later I was informed there had been a medical emergency which is why they were incommunicado and that they weren't going to bill us until they were able to at least do the entire yard. Seemed reasonable, annoying that no one could even email saying that there was an emergency and they would be in touch shortly but, at least they weren't billing us.
We had them come back one more time and they did the entire yard. We were not as happy this time. They didn't blow off the back patio, they didn't even try to blow the leaves out the beds, it just looked sloppy. So I sent an email asking them to address the issues which they said they would. In trying to set up a date we had more communication issues so we decided to go another route.

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in New London, NC

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
