"Mr. Robert Helm was out last August (2014) for an estimate and to meet with my insurance adjuster, but we had a baby in September and the repair job fell off our radar until this Spring (after I noticed a few more shingles blown off in our yard). The repair costs were less than our deductible, so it would be out of pocket. Detailed pictures were provided so I could see exactly the areas needing attention and repair. Fireplace had not been inspected for a couple years, I now have piece of mind knowing we are safe to burn this fall/ winter. Worth every penny. Highly recommend."

"Tony Taylor did a thorough inspection of our chimney and fireplace and provided a report. Olde Towne Chimney replaced the crown with poured concrete, removed mortar from a previously botched repair and re-tucked with new mortar, and sealed the chimney with a 10 year sealer. Although we had a small problem during the two week process, Tony and his crews made it right. I am happy with the work."

My retired neighbor across the street told me that she watched the workers all day and that she was very impressed with how careful they were about getting the old shingles into the trash bin, how they laid out plastic over the grass around the whole house to keep from damaging anything or leaving a mess, and she was particularly impressed with how hard the roofers worked. She said no one was sitting around or wasting any time. And she mentioned that 'every bit of black paper was removed, down to the wood'. She was so excited I received such great service! "David Hearne is good. He spent a long time out here with me explaining different things about the chimney, the chimney safety and different issues that people run into. He was very reasonable. I don't think the bill was more than $250 for both the chimneys. He gave me estimates to repair different things on my chimneys which I have not decided to do yet. Some are more urgent than the others. He is certified, licensed and insured. He is out of Lexington, Indiana, but he has to come over to Milford. He was very careful with what he did the last time. He does masonry work, fireplace reconstruction, dampers and caps. He spent a couple of hours here. I don't think there was really a trip charge, but if there was, then it wouldn't have been much for the amount of time he spent here. I had a lot of questions. I was getting the fireplace from another vendor because David doesn't sell fireplaces or wood stoves. So, I sent him notes about the different wood stoves and asked him about the chimney that I had to put the fireplace into. The house is older and there were a lot of different issues. He sent me many e-mails back and forth online at no extra charge. He gave me his opinion on the kind of things that I would run into or what my options were. He is a really nice guy. I think he used to be a school teacher. So, this is a kind of second career that he got into because I think his father-in-law did a lot of chimney work. So, he decided to go into this and he has been doing this for a couple of years now. I felt very safe with him in the house. He wasn't a scary repair guy. He was very professional, educative and knowledgeable of what he was doing. He was very happy to give me a lot of information. I would use his services in the future too."
