So, unlike many window cleaning firms where the people who do the actual work are hired hands with varying levels of commitment, training and quality concerns, when one hires Martin Bros., one gets Pat Martin on the job, along with a helper. Pat makes sure the job is done right. Pat was low bidder on our job by almost 40% compared to the next lowest. On top of that he offered a 10% discount for first time Angie's users. <br /> Since I have been having our windows done for many years, I am familiar with what this job should cost and, more recently, with some shady practices that have emerged in this business since the recession. Some window cleaners promote their business with seemingly large discount coupons (e.g., "50% off!!") but the discount is illusory, since the prices they quote are substantially inflated. Hence, "sticker price" is a fabrication, and with the discount coupon, one ends up paying a full and handsome price. That is not true at all with Martin Bros. Their bid price is real, very competitive and they stick to it. <br /> Pat and a helper took most of a work day to complete our job. The windows, sills and screens were perfectly clean. What a joy to look out thru absolutley clean windows again. When I did a final inspection and pointed out a couple areas that may have been missed, Pat was totally happy to address my concerns. That showed me that Pat is completely "customer focused," meaning that he is in business to satisfy his customers and you can count of him to do just that. <br /> A final word on Pat himself. He struck me when he came to my place to bid on the job as a very honest, trustworthy individual. And, since he does the work himself, I concluded that I could count on him. Spending the day around him as he did our work confirmed that reading I had of his character. He is truly an honest and deecent person whom one can have in and out of one';s home for an entire day and enjoy his comp"

"The house and windows look great. My only concern is that the workers did not come prepared with masks and I had to give one to one of them. They did wear the masks provided."

"He tiled the kitchen, and the laundry room which is adjacent to it. It took quite a while to do but he did a pretty good job of it. The tiles were alternating dark and light, and I had it put at an angle, which is not easy to do. He did it extremely well with nothing loose, and he cleaned up after the job. He could have done it a lot cheaper, but I wanted good quality heat underneath. In fact, the heat for the two areas is separate, and in winter when I turned on the thermostat for the laundry room, it didn't heat up. So I called him and he found out that there was some damage to it from the service fan. So, he got a new one and sent it to me, and I had it installed. He didn't take too long to fix it. He was responsive; he got back to me when I had the problem with the thermostat."

"B&R was great to work with. They redid our bathroom, which included removing everything (tile, tub, vanity, etc.) and installing new materials. We worked primarily with Carol, and she did a good job of keeping us informed throughout the process, was very accommodating when we made some additions in the middle of the project, and stayed on top of what needed to be done. The people who did the demo and installation of new materials were great, too, and did quality work. We’re very happy with the end result."

"The guys arrived on time at 7:30 and immediately went to work pulling up the carpet, padding and tack strips.  Then they removed the baseboards.  Before starting work on the slate they erected the plastic barriers across the living room and kitchen entry.  They worked hard getting the slate up, but after it was all done the barriers came down and it was clean as a whistle.  They had to go out and buy plywood to install and even up the floor to match living room so I could have laminate flooring installed.  It took them awhile to get the plywood at Menards which put them behind schedule a bit.  But they did a wonderful job of installing it because it included a small closet.  They worked hard and left no mess behind, took everything with them including a 3 X 5 rug and entryway rugs that I no longer needed which I appreciated. End time was 3:00.  In my opinion the cost was excellent compared to the work that went into the removal.  I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone wanting tough flooring removal. <br />"
