"The work was done well overall, but I had to remove some large concrete pieces from the sloping areas around the edges. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."

"This is the first review I have ever submitted for a contractor. However, when a company offers this outstanding level of service they have more than earned a five star rating! After a severe windstorm damaged my roof, I called my insurance company and then researched / contacted several roofers in my area. As a result of so much damage most roofing companies were extremely busy. Walter Brown was the only one who had their staff working diligently to take calls, and somehow managed to fit me into their schedule even though they were inundated with emergency work. Two workers arrived as the rain started and tarped the damaged areas. Everyone at Walter Brown consistently replied to my emails and continued to stay in touch with me as we worked through the color selection and scheduling of replacing my roof. I researched brands of shingles before John Cisna came to my house to discuss the brand that they install. Finding out that they install the brand that I had found was the highest rated brand on the market confirmed that they had high standards both in the products they use as well as in the quality of work that they do. The crew who did the job was absolutely amazing, professional, courteous, and meticulous in making sure every detail of the roof was perfect. They completed the job in one day, and the young gentleman who went through the inspection checklist with me was thorough, and made sure that every detail was addressed to my satisfaction. It was a real pleasure working with Walter Brown Roofing. Everyone including the office staff, owner, management, and work crew were all a real joy to work with. "Gary is highly motivated and his team does great work. He arrived on time and did exactly what he said he was going to do. There were a couple of minor things that I asked to be addressed after the job was complete, and he came out and did everything I had requested. I would say communication is his weakest point. He is busy and after this job was 90% complete I didn't hear from him for over one week. This is probably normal as the concrete cures, before the forms come off, but I never really was given a timeline for that part of the job. I had full confidence/trust in Gary otherwise I may have worried a little. I also had to finish some of the things that I thought he may take care of, like filling the excavated area to the top of the yard, flush with the yard. He probably would have done that if I asked and/or gave him the time. You can tell he is straight forward, honest, and interested in satisfying customers and building/maintaining a good reputation. My experience was that he'll make sure you are happy, you may just need to be patient while he makes the time."
