"Excellent ...perfection ...professional ...courteous ...polite ...patient efficient .... if u need a plumber these are the guys to call ...... I had a leak under my large kitchen farmhouse double sink with plumbing set up for a dishwasher a garbage disposal a spray hose and a water filter with a reserve tank ..... the leak was intermittent ...... some times a lot of water sometimes a small puddle sometimes nothing ..... I tried several times to locate the source .... I live in a co-op apt so I had friends who were handy fixing there own plumbing issues take a look at the pipes ....I had the super /maintenance-guy check it out nobody could find what was leaking ...it was time to call a plumber.... Quite frankly I was dreading this whole experience.... when would they be able to come ...how long would this take to locate the problem....would they really be able to fix it since no one could find it ..... would they have the parts .... well Leonard called, said he could come the same day at 3pm.... he came 15 minutes early ..... I showed him the sink he immediately went to work ..... Thank God Leonard was patient .... It took 60 minutes to figure out that all of my devices under the sink when used, caused different levels of pressure on the drain pipe. The spray hose caused little pressure so small puddle leak, dishwasher lots of water lots of pressure so a big leak......this caused the drain pipe joints to become loose, the seal to be broken, and the water to leak out sometimes, that was why it seemed intermittent. But the real problem was the drain pipe was severely clogged because the pipes were not at the right slant to make the water run properly down the drain using gravity .....so the water just sat there and since I use a garbage disposal u can only imagine how badly clogged it was ....Leonard said we needed to fix the slant on the pipes then fix the joints and reseal pipes. But first and most importantly it needed to be snaked. So he went to his truck come back in 5 minutes used 25 foot snake 3 times he said it was not clear I could see this myself as the water was not going down the pipes .... At this point, I figured we would have to call the co-op board to get their plumber to snake the pipes in the building to fix this issue ......all I could think was this was getting worse .....Leonard said he just needed a longer snake he called his brother who came in 5 minutes with a 50 foot snake he used the 50 foot snake twice that finally cleared it .....no more filthy water ....he adjusted the slant of pipes ...put in new pipes with new seal ...... Leonard and his brother cleaned up all the debris got equipment packed and was gone in 10 minutes ....problem solved all of this only took 2 hours ....! Sink and all devices work perfectly now.... Absolutely Incredible!!!!!!"

"EXCELLENT AND HONEST. ASAP Solutions (New York City, Upper East Side) is great. The manager, Udi, is very responsive. Diagnosed two problems via phone and photo -- a leaking Kohler shower lever and a faulty water cutoff valve for a toilet. He sent a plumber, Tony, who not only fixed everything quickly, but was honest in telling me what I didn't need. He also showed me a part for the toilet that needed replacing and indicated that it's a quick and simple job -- whereas a previous plumbing company had tried to replace the entire toilet for roughly 4x what Tony quoted me. It's nice to find an honest, reasonable, and responsive plumbing company. I intend to use ASAP and Udi and Tony again and would absolutely recommend them to friends and neighbors. UPDATE: For the second time in a week, ASAP Solutions delivered perfectly. I needed a small piece of followup work from a few days ago. ASAP showed up right on time and fixed two small problems. One had to do with a valve that ASAP previously adjusted, rather than replaced, trying to save me money (after asking my permission for the first attempted fix). Two days later it was clear the the part had to be replaced. Even though I had approved the first repair, ASAP discounted the replacement on the second day. I would have understood if they didn't offer a discount, but they're really that honest and ethical. Second, the plumber, Tony, offered me advice on a minor thing that I could safely adjust myself, rather than calling him back in. He and his boss, Udi, are absolutely great. I'm pushing for my co-op board to switch away from the large plumbing company the building has used to ASAP, and recommending them to my neighbors and friends. They're excellent and I strongly recommend them for every kind of job."

"I spoke with Manny, who was extremely courteous and upfront about everything. He offered to come out free of charge to take a look at the faucet, even in the middle of today's snowstorm. I ended up cancelling, because my usual plumber who my landlord uses was able to come. But I will be sure to call Franco Belli again, simply because of the professionalism with which Manny handled the call. He was very understanding when I cancelled. It's quite amazing how companies can bungle even the most simple of customer interactions, and no matter how proficient they are in their actual services, you don't want to deal with them because of their poor customer service. My experience with Franco Belli was the complete opposite, and I hope to give them business in the future.

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in New-york, NY

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
