In addition, we asked him to construct a roof over our front entrance door which involved adding support columns and cutting our handrails to fit the columns. "Rick and Linda were amazing.  Rick is so talented -- his woodwork is absolutely beautiful.  All work was done to code -- never any issues with inspections.  For the most part the subcontractors used were professional and also did amazing work.  As I wasn't on site most of the time, Linda made sure every detail was fully discussed before execution.  The plans for the kitchen went back and forth many times, to include a layout drawing on the floor which was extremely helpful before I made the final commitment.  The only exception was the HVAC contractor, who did a great job with the system, but did not coordinate before making an aesthetically unpleasing installation which had to be changed (Linda took care of that) and also left a mess in the room (which I cleaned up).  The work did take longer than anticipated, but that was likely due to unforeseen complications which needed to be remedied (original footers which were not to standard and therefore had to be replaced; cement walls still resident in the original house which needed to be removed before lifting; etc).  The price was probably higher than other contractors, but the value was tremendous.  Completely trustworthy I used RLC before this major work and will use them in the future."

"Our is 2.5 storey and steep roof. Owner visited and without getting on roof told me that you need to replace 2 flashings. The house is 9 years old and according to him ( I am not sure) it is better to replace flashing after 10-12 years any way. I think flashing should have same about 30 years life of roof. However, I accepted the recommendation as cost was $150. Also, I don't think they inspected or did anything on other side of the roof. He sent Brian in the following week to carry out work. Brian is really hardworking honest guy. He spent about 4 hours on roof to replace flashing and nail down singhles on one side of roof. I was not happy since they didn't even look at other side of roof. Since my $200 +79 was worth their effort of 4 hours I am OK with the service provided. However, I felt that they are giving this deal to generate more business. and chnging of flushing was not necessary. Anyway I was happy with Brian and hence I am giving A other wise I would have given B."

"Josh and Eddy arrived on time (actually a week early as they had an unexpected opening in their schedule). They looked at the safety bar and hand grip bar that I had purchased and examined the shower/tub space. We discussed what the position (height and slant) of where the bars should be. Once that was determined, the ceramic tiles were measured and marked. Placement was rechecked. The holes were drilled. During drilling a small vacuum was used to gather the dust and debris from the ceramic tiles. My tiles were not chipped or cracked. The bars were screwed into the wall and the area was rechecked for any needed clean up. An Angie's List discount was applied to my bill. On the way out, they stopped and readjusted a slanted pot light in my kitchen and a cabinet door which was scrapping the ceiling whenever it was opened. All of this was done within 30 minutes. Josh and Eddy were respectful of my home, paid great attention to details, and were very pleasant to talk with. I will rely on Yorktown's Handyman to complete any needed home repairs and improvements."

"The representative was on time inspected the roof and supplied paperwork regarding inspectors questions. The inspector had requested some paint and caulk and our son does roofing and had made these repairs. Belvin's inspected for leaks and which were not present, and noted repairs that had been also for the buyers inspector, all in a nice folder."
