"We had to have our carpet stretched and cleaned after a small water leak in our small bathroom wall by our master bedroom. After researching and calling several businesses, we stumbled onto Scott who owns S.L.P. Carpet Cleaning and More. We couldn't have been more pleased with his work. He is very meticulous, thorough, personable, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. We will never use anybody else."

"We have used them few times and they have done pretty good job. We had them come in and fix carpets that can be cleaned. Someone had dropped iron and burnt off and it couldn't be cleaned so they did some couple of mid rims. So whenever we call them, they come in and get it done in just few hours. We like them and the price is really good on all of that. They come out when they say they are going to be here and get the job done. They get it done very quickly and that's one thing that we like."

"The contrators for Lowes arrived on time and asked me to inspect everything before they unloaded it and started on the job. The first thing I noticed is they had a differenct carpet pad than what I ordered. I called the store and they explained that the pad I ordered did not show up and they sent a higher quality pad in its place. They also gave me some money back for not communicating that to me ahead of time. <br /> The 2 installers/contractors were very respectful of my house and finished earlier than I expected. The carpet has been in for over 3 months now and still looks great. I would use Lowes for carpet in the future."

"Took his time, approx. 2 full working days. Patient, polite and professional. Father, son team. Son was more or less in training. The father seemed to know alot about stone cleaning and chemicals. What to use and more importantly what not to use. Looked brand new when finished. Never use detergent on travertine. Clean water is all one needs and a steam cleaning machine, which we purchased to maintain the floors. <br />"

"Due to humidity at the time of carpet installation several waves appeared on the carpet throughout our house. We initially just called a few carpet stretchers to get quotes. Needless to say, their quotes were unbelievably high. This prompted us to do a little research on who initially installed our carpet. I expected to call and get excuses or reasons why the vendor couldn't help. I was very wrong. He asked what heppened, when it was installed and when we were available to make it right. I have no idea how much he charges for work, but I do know Mark and David stand behind what they do. The were professional, timely and very kind. They have my business going forward, no doubt. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Nicoma Park, OK

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
