"I've been reading Dave's reviews on Angie's List for over five years and have tried to work with him in the past but his schedule and mine just couldn't mesh. Last year we decided to replace the picture window in our living room with a bay window and called Dave for an estimate. Again, his schedule was packed but I decided to wait for him to be available and boy, am I glad I did! Of course, we obtained estimates from two other contractors for the work (which were a little bit higher than Dave) but they just didn't have the glowing reviews that Dave has. Dave lives up to every word in reviews! There were some scheduling difficulties and then an issue with the window (custom ordered) not being correct but Dave made everything right at no further cost to us. He kept us informed on the install schedule and completed the work in exactly the time he estimated (less than three days). During the install, he made sure I was aware of options/tweaks he could make so that the final product met with my expectations. I can honestly say that it looks EXACTLY the way I pictured it in my mind and I could not be more thrilled with the end result. We still have to paint it and Dave even called a week after the job was done to offer to paint the roof trim at no cost if we didn't have a tall enough ladder to reach it! Dave and his son worked quickly while still paying attention to detail, kept a clean worksite, and even made a small repair to our storm door that wasn't closing easily. There is no doubt I would hire Dave again for any home improvement or repair project. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence make him well worth the wait!"

"We hired Josh to remove a pony wall and relocate cabinets to create a peninsula in our kitchen/dining area.  He also completed several projects that we hadn't gotten around to finishing, and they turned out even better than we had hoped.   <br> <br>We were impressed by his can-do attitude and skills.  For example, he didn't just hang the "barn door" style sliding door for the laundry room, but he also added a piece to extend the too-short door that I really wanted to use, and made sure it would operate smoothly by adding a spacer and recessing the screws on the back.  He trimmed out a couple of interior doors and used a corner tool to make sure that the corners would turn out perfect (looks much better than the ones done by the "big box store" crew).  He also did a beautiful job using neodymium magnets to fit panels into a custom desk, fashioning an angled flooring transition strip for an awkward space, and he even fixed the cat's broken scratching post with a leftover scrap of wood.  Now everyone is happy! <br> <br>Josh genuinely seems to enjoy the challenge of figuring out solutions and has the skills and tools to follow through.  He is efficient and personable, and we are looking forward to having him work on more projects in the future. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"When the earthquake hit we had extensive damage to our house. Almost everything needed some type of service. BJK came out quickly and accessed the damage and supplied us with a quote with what they could to. After seeing the pictures of past work we were confident in their abilities and hired them instead of the other 7 contractors we requested quotes from. "RJ was great. He came over a few months before hand to go over everything I wanted and gave me a quote on the job. He called me closer to the time I wanted the work done. He is very picky with his work. He is very detailed oriented. He did smaller repairs to walls to make sure it looked good before he painted. He went over the different types of paint that would work best. Once he was done, he told me contact him if something needed to be fixed. I had an excellent experience with him. I will use him again."
