"A1 Handyman & Plumbing Services saved my house. I moved into a home built in 1925 and after three months noticed an open, leaking pipe in the basement ceiling. Water was pouring out of it, to provide a more accurate description. Sean from A1 came to the house. He investigated the leaking pipe further and discovered not only serious plumbing issues (multiple pipes connected to the same main drainage pipe) but also an abandoned oil tank was hidden behind the drywall; the consequences of neglect and thriftiness from the previous owners. The huge tank made it impossible to reroute the pipes properly. Sean removed the oil tank, ripped up the subfloor, and reorganized the pipes correctly. The inspector had failed to see this issue and the previous owners did not disclose it. "I looked requested quotes from several plumbers to have our water heater replaced with a new tankless water heater. One of the companies just gave a quote for a after having me take photos of the existing water heater, and the quote was for simply a replacement, not what I wanted. Another company came out after several days and said it would be awhile before they could do it because they were so busy. This was two weeks ago. Still no quote. Jon from Delaware Plumbing Professionals was out the morning after the day we called and after looking at what we had, gave us a quote right then. We waited a bit for the other quotes, and decided to go with Delaware Plumbing Professionals. Jon and his apprentice, Nick, were here as scheduled and got the job done. The installation took quite a while, but is very nicely done. They covered the floor and were careful to not make a mess. Now I have lots of hot water. Once the installation was done, Jon showed me where all the shutoff valves and controls for the water heater were. I'm very happy with the job they did. I've used this company before for a faucet replacement on an Angie's List deal and was happy with it as well. It was one reason why I decided to go with them again. I really like that just before they arrive, you get both an email and a text message telling you they are on the way, and both include a photo of the person coming, so you know who to expect and are comfortable letting them in the door. It's just an added safety measure that adds to my satisfaction."

He contacted me very shortly after I posted my request on the Anji website, was able to quickly collect all the information he needed about my job, set very clear expectations, advised me how I should prepare for the repair work, and set up our appointment. He sent me an appointment reminder, and showed up when he said he would. He assessed the situation quickly, and worked efficiently to replace my faucet. He took time to make sure everything was functioning properly, and cleaned the work area when he was satisfied the job was complete. His bill was what he had quoted. "Tim did an excellent job replacing my Moen cartridge faucet. My bathtub Moen cartridge faucet was broken and needed to be replaced. I wasn't able to use my bathtub. I then hired a plumber from Able Plumbing to fix the problem. My bathtub diverter spout started to drip continuously after Able Plumbing replaced the cartridge. I paid Able Plumbing $225 for the job that was not properly done. Able Plumbing promised to come back to replace another cartridge and if that didn't work, he would then replace entire body/copper house, that he quoted for$500. Able Plumbing left me with a dripping diverter spout and never returned. I was very hesitant and apprehensive about calling another plumber for the fear of being ripped off again. So I navigated the website and found Angie's List, which I used to subscribe too. I received a call from Valdel Plumbing, who scheduled me an appointment with Tim and within a couple of hours, Tim was here right on time. Tim realized how hesitant and apprehensive I was, but was able to win my trust and get me into a good comfort level, especially after hearing him assuring me that I'm in good hands, sharing with me his years of plumbing work experience, his knowledge and use of Moen products and most of all, his moral and ethical values he applies in his work. That was really helpful enough to get me to feel comfortable with him. Tim approach on the job was professional, treated my home with respect, which was evident when he covered his shoes with a cap to protect my floors from cross contamination. He was willing to show me what inside the cartridge faucet house looked like and also showed me the deformity of the old cartridge, that was caused due to the improper placement by Able Plumbing. Tim actually cleaned up after his work, something that a lot of plumbers don't do, but should do. Tim sat in the bathroom with me for over 15 minutes only to make certain that the diverter spout was not dripping after he replaced the new cartridge faucet. That too added to my good comfort level and trust in Tim's morals, competency and ability to work excellently. Tim was also willing to assess other plumbing issues that needed to be addressed. Tim was able to do what Able Plumbing was unable to do, saving me over $500 to replace a new copper faucet house. Yes I will definitely use him again and will be my new plumber."
