Not many companies will tell you that they "don't want to sound like they're turning down business, but ethically there are other issues going on here."  The bottom line is they could have shown up and provided the same service again but they knew there were other issues going on and talked me through how to talk to the county. In addition, these guys always respond in a timely manner. if you call at 9 am on Saturday, they call you back. You send an email on a weekend  at 5 pm, you get an email back or a phone call. They might be a bit more expensive than other providers but they're honest and ethical."

He asked my husband if we'd like him to check the other units while he was here. No mention of price or other charges for this, and so hubby unfortunately thought this was a courtesy. When my husband complained that this should have been explained before he agreed, the technician reduced the amount to a "service call" charge in addition to the repair. I suggest telling future customers that "for an additional $300 you'll check the other units while you are there" rather than giving them a surprise bill. Or maybe future customers should just be aware that this sort of offer is not a courtesy."
