"Took waaaay to long. 6 months, albeit, we started in late November but it was the nicest winter in history. Promise was late February for completion. I finally conceded in June that they had finally met all contractual obligations. There were several reasons it took so long from my point of view: not showing up when they say they are, poor workmanship requiring lots of rework (all caught by me, not the so called Project Manager), no dedicated project manager, unclear instructions/requirements flowed down to the contractors sent to do the work, company too focused on the next jobs instead of completing this one, etc..I could go on and on...Damaged my driveway and blamed the driveway even though I asked upfront if there would be any harm to it. "No we do this all the time" was the response. Damaged my neighbors lawn and I'm still fixing that. Overall, a bad experience. I'd rate them a "D" but they did eventually fix most of the quality problems. The rest I have, or will take care of. Cutting the ties with this contractor. Would not recommend."

"Rick responded immediately to my e-mail inquiry through the website and called me to set up an appointment.  He was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  As it turns out, after making the arrangements for the sump pump, we discovered the source of our water was from our heating system.  When we informed Rick of this and the fact the sump pump would not be needed, he promptly refunded our deposit.  I would definitely recommend Rick Jackson and will contact him in the future if the need arises.

"We interviewed a few contractors and most agreed on the same strategy for dealing with the problem: an internal French drain and sump pump. We chose Scott from Affordable Masonry b/c he seemed the most experienced in dealing with this issue. His explanation of the problem and what he would do to address it was very clear. His write-up of the proposal was brief but contained all the useful information. He was open to being asked questions and gave truthful responses. We agreed on a date and Scott and two other men arrived promptly at 8:30 to begin the job. They worked very hard all day and did everything they said they would. An unexpected problem arose and we negotiated a reasonable compromise. They finished the job around 5:30 and the basement was even cleaner than when they began the job. A few tests of the new system demonstrated that it was working as planned. We feel confident that we have addressed the issue and confident that we could call Scott if a problem arose again."

"Rey came in one day to estimate the job. I had an interior drain system installed 24 years ago, but for the first time some water was seeping in and puddling on my cellar floor. Rey looked at the problem with me, suggested a minimal but effective solution, and priced the job at a fair amount. (Another contractor wanted to sell a more extensive job that I believe was more than I needed.) Rey and his assistant came on the day we arranged and did the job very satisfactorily. They worked hard and quickly installing a new drain channel, then re-cemented the floor leaving it clean and level. Rey was personable, professional and good to work with."

"The product is very good keeping the basement to 50% relative humidity. Could be lower. Actually re-adjusted to put finished area at 45-50%.
The installation was done well with attention to my input on vent installation and handling condensate outflow. Area was left as clean as when they started.
In making the decision about the service the owner, Don was very willing to visit a couple of times to discuss intent and options. He was also will willing to reach out to other professionals when I had questions he didn't know answer for. Someone less customer oriented might have allowed an installation based on what I said, but one that wasn't the most effective way to go about it.
The only issue with the whole process was once I was ready it still took a couple of weeks to get a contract done. Given the final result I am very happy I stuck with it instead of getting discouraged.
