"This is where the rubber met the road. The cabinet installer made certain recommendations to our sales rep based on his survey, measurements and experience. Unfortunately, some of his recommendations weren't acted upon, and we ended up with two glitches. One required a new cabinet to be ordered which would fit better than what had been ordered originally. The installer was super - we didn't even have to get involved, and he ordered a different cabinet even before talking to us (the fit was really awkward, and the installer knew we wouldn't be happy, so he bit the bullet). Once the new cabinet arrived the installer came back to our home and hung it, then we ran into glitch number two . . .

The cabinets were supposed to go all the way to the ceiling, but there remained about a two inch gap between the top of the cabinet and the ceiling. It only took a few calls, and between the installer and Lowe's, more parts were ordered. Once again, when the parts arrived, the installer made a third trip to our house and finished up.

Let me make one point clear - the two issues we ran into are not uncommon problems with renovations, but Lowe's and the installer handled them to our 100% satisfaction. I should add that we paid nothing extra for the replacement cabinet and trim, even though it was additional cost for Lowe's. Also, for an installer to make three trips instead of one is money out of his pocket. Yet neither Lowe's nor the installer ever fussed about this point. The installer was cheerful, pleasant, professional and very detail oriented - just what you need to install cabinets, trust me.

The countertops were installed without issue. My only surprise was how much is involved with installing countertops. I thought it was plop them down, secure them, and you're done. Take my word for it, there's a lot to it, and you don't want to DIY unless you really know what you're doing and have the right equipment.

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Lowe's for kitchen cabinets and countertops."

"The experience was very good overall. Once we contacted Mr. Carter, he got back to us and provided an estimate. He came out to do the work when he said he would and completed the installation in just over an hour. After the install was complete, he made sure we were happy with the work. The final cost was equal to Mr. Carter's estimate. We are very pleased with the results and our son looks forward to enjoying the fan as the weather warms up."

"Excellent! RPI was on time, on budget and left a clean work area when they were done. Communication was excellent with the installation team and supervisor. When completed the job was inspected by a supervisor and any questions that I had were answered. I highly recommend RPI!"

"Avery and Susan came to our house and repaired a severe crack and repainted our kitchen ceiling. You would never know there was such a severe crack. Also replaced the backdoor and the storm door. Beautiful job. They also made some repairs along the way. This included removing and old stove and repairing the electrical outlet and repairing a dutch door that was not installed correctly. Very good work."

"It went great. Harry is responsive, efficient, and we think reasonably priced. He did exactly what we needed him to do, and it looked great.
We also appreciated that he called the other companies he was referring us to and gave them our contact information, and we then heard from them before we could even call ourselves.
We are a military family and have moved away, but still own our home in Augusta and even used Harry after we moved to fix a couple of minor plumbing issues that we were unable to resolve on our own before our new tenants moved in. We trust him and would use him again.
"

"The finished project is great and pretty much what we had in our minds eye before the work began. Mr. Tallent and his crew maintained a professional attitude throughout the job. The job required them to enter and exit my home many times during the course of the days they were working. While they did track debris in from time to time Mr. Tallent had taken the precaution of putting an adhesive rug protection walkway in the areas his crew would traverse. He also had all of the furnishings in the master bedroom draped in plastic to protect them from construction dust. The project was done in two stages first was to build the space and second to put in the stuff that makes up a closet.
The project was estimated to have a 3 week duration but went quite bit longer, this would be one of the few negatives I will say about the project. There were a number of contributing factors some of which were beyond Tallent's control, the biggest being the ice storm that hit a week and a half into the project. The storm damage to the Augusta area (power losses and downed trees) affected a lot of the areas people and businesses and cost us about a week in the schedule. There were also various other delays that resulted in 2 additional weeks of delay.
The quality of the work was good to excellent. The reason I hired Tallent's Porches and Decks for this project was my previous experience with them (the first project was to remove an existing deck and replace it with a screened in porch and deck). Mr. Tallent takes obvious pride in his work and often went above and beyond what he said he would do or what was required. He and his crew were generally prompt and always professional. After the work was done I was walking around the side of my house and noticed that a piece of siding that had been damaged years ago and not part of this project had been replaced. This repair was done without me asking nor had I been told it had been done - that is above and beyond. I have only one area where I felt the quality was not as good as it should have been and that was painting. When we were returning our clothing to the closet we noted several places were there was obvious color differences, most likely spots that did not receive a second coat of paint. I did not report this to Mr. Tallent but if I had I am sure he would have had the paint crew back at my house the next day.
I have hired Mr Tallent twice for significant projects and would do so again without hesitation. I feel I have found a truly honest, professional, and talented (pun intended) company that stands behind there work and do it with pride.
"
