"J&R Chavez is a very professional and detailed landscaping company.  I set up a meeting with Jose Chavez to get a quote, which was very reasonable for the amount of work we had to have done. After interviewing three other landscaping companies in the area, we decided to hire J&R Chavez Landscaping.
The day the work was to start, April 6, 2016, the gentlemen in the crew not only SHOWED UP ON TIME, but they looked professional and were very polite. These gentlemen worked tirelessly for two days.  They removed four huge truck loads of leaves, pine needles, old mulch and yard debris.  As they removed the debris, they would edge each flower bed, trim the bushes and remove the weeds. Once this step was complete they would lay the new mulch.
On the second day it was raining, however, once again, they showed up on time and began to work.  Late that day, I had a question about the scope of work and called Jose Chavez for clarification.  Without question, he came to the job site to discuss my concern, which was easily remedied. 
We gladly paid Mr. Chavez and his crew for their impeccable work and would absolutely hire them to do work for us again!  
It is nice to know there are still honest, hard working, professionals available.

He was so helpful with our family home landscaping (where no one presently lives) to cleanup and weed and mulch and fill in what we thought was a medium sized sinkhole. He found a much larger issue and was able to completely and professionally fix the problem. He not only texted me but did FaceTime to show me the problems and gave me a complete list of steps and charges. He also took photos step by step to show exactly what was done. "AC Paving did a superior job in resurfacing our 3600 square foot driveway. They had to cut out several areas where there were depressions and pave over roots, curves, and a round about. In the past, we have had several other paving jobs done, but by far, AC did the most professional job. You can just look at it and see it is a beautiful job, but the devil is in the details, the edge work is the best I have ever seen. The owner is right on site, directing his guys every step of the way. Reminds me of how my father ran his business. When I had a question about the wording of the contract, I called, and in 15 minutes the owner showed up at my door to review the fine print. Great customer service. You can tell this is a top notch business just by the way their trucks and equipment are in excellent shape, well maintained and clean. "My husband and I came across 7th State Builders online. Eddie came out to our home for our initial consultation. He was punctual and professional. He listened to our vision and took the time to draw out a plan and explain the process. He was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. We decided to do a big project at our home. For the back: a rebuild and waterproofing of our previous deck and a large patio to go underneath it with a fire pit and sitting wall. The front of our house needed some repairs so we had them redo our sidewalk in the same patio pavers from the back. The whole area in front of our garage was cut out and they put in new concrete and leveled it out. They rerouted our gutters to prevent flooding as the previous design was doing damage to our foundation. The owner, Chase, was very hands on and kept us updated the whole time. He frequently made sure we were happy with the way things were going. The whole team made this project an enjoyable experience. Iâ ll admit, my husband and I can sometimes be difficult people to please-But wow!! They really knocked it out of the park for us! 7th Stateâ s precision and talent is unmatched. You are truly working with people that know what they are doing and they are the best at what they are doing. Communication from start to finish was consistent and open. They were very patient with our ideas and they added to our vision in ways we didnâ t think was possible. The whole crew was professional and extremely hardworking. Not only did they do an amazing job but you can tell this is their passion. The little touches they put on everything are amazing. The details they put in set them apart from the rest. On every area of this project they went above and beyond. The transition of starting another area after the completion of another was seamless. "We have a finished basement and a crawl space in the storage area of our basement.  We have found after large rain storms recently water has been increasing in our crawl space. After one storm we found over 6 inches of water above the gravel in the crawl space and purchased a temporary pump to pump out the water, discarded the plastic vapor barrier with concern of mold growing on it and began to see seepage through the foundation wall to the basement. 
In order to find a solution we scheduled four appointments with Angie's list highly regarded basement waterproofing contractors.  We were surprised to find that each contractor provided different solutions ranging in cost from $13,814 to $1,950.  We were impressed with Mr. Norfolk's honesty and straight forward approach.  He noted that he could do some of the solutions provided by other contractors with piping systems to a sump pump but suggested to start with a more cost effective solution of just adding a sump pump to the crawl area and replacing the current basement sump pump that was 27 years old.  If additional solutions were needed in the future he could preform them but why spend the extra money at this time if not necessary. The work was performed on February 1st and took two workman 3.5 hours to complete.  The workman explained how the system worked and asked that we please follow up if we had any questions.  The only area I could see improvement was clean up as after they cleaned up I had to again sweep the work area and vacum the carpets covered by their drop cloths. There was also debris and concrete mix left on the driveway.
