"I initially contacted Erik of Dirt Pros in early July and he arrived when he said he would for the estimate. The estimate sounded good so I had Erik email the proposal for signature. He said it would be about 3 weeks and that was fine with us. Erik came yesterday 7/30 and delivered the topsoil and created the bed with mounds. I was not home, but left a copy of the architect's rendering. A couple of tweaks were needed, so I emailed Erik and he came out today and made the corrections. An excellent experience from start to finish.

I tried to contact many concrete companies to get a quality work with reasonable price. Tohi is the one I contacted since 2019. He is very friendly and hard working, his price is very competitive. With good communications, I placed my trust in him, his 20+year concrete work experience didn't disappoint me. Nothing is easy; Communication and Trust are not difficult either. "Conclusion: Has the right tools, Fast, Negotiable Got quotes and talked with 3 different contractors. First was cheap and sketchy, Second had good reviews and had good pricing, Third was Island Concrete. (Will be honest he was the most expensive but also was able to negotiate to almost match others price and I don't think the others would have done as good of a job.) Island Concrete was the only contractor that mentioned the potential issues that the other contractors didn't bring up. Venly also had very useful suggestions as he saw that my idea wasn't going to look to good. He was right. Final result looks good and was done right. I have a security camera that I watched to see if they skipped any steps. Just want to bring up some more important things about Island Concrete. 1) I hired them same day they came out to do the quote. He was able to bring his professional tools on site that night and ripped the entire driveway out and dug up the 2 extensions. The concrete was pored and finished the next day. 2) When the Concrete truck was coming in it knocked out one of the overhead power lines to my house. I was away from home during this time. When I got home he got it it was already fixed but I noticed it was replaced. Neighbors told me what happened and that Venly had PSE come out and fix it properly and waited to make sure nothing went wrong. Neighbors also mentioned that he did a very good job and worked very hard all day. I obviously didn't have to pay for the power line issue but I just wanted to bring up how everything was taken care of before I gotten home professionally and Venly never asked for money to fix it. 3) They cleaned up nicely didn't leave any mess. After the job was done I noticed some touch-up stuff. They came the next day and solved my issues. 4) Venly was able to negotiate and wanted to make sure I was happy with the work. <-- Most important."

"They almost finished but I made the mistake of paying when they were almost done. They didn't show up to remove the last of the plywood forms for the retaining wall. I called at least 4 times and requested that Nelson, the owner of the Co. to send someone to complete the job. He told me 4 times ok and gave me a day when they would come to do that. All 4 times no one showed up. And no one called to say they wouldn't be there. I feel that Nelson was playing with me but do not understand why? I paid in full. $12,000 + tax. Also, he requested I make the check out to his name. I don't know if that is legal to do or not. But I did it."
