"I was extremely happy with Blake and his crew. They are true professionals. First off, their attention to detail is incredible. Blake is very detail oriented and is very good at translating his desires to his crew. I was also impressed with their work ethic. I really feel that I got my full money's worth from them. I will gladly hire them again should the need arise."

"I contacted Carlson this morning requesting a repair to roof shingles. Reed Carlson indicated they were booked out several weeks but would see what could be done. He came personally to my house the same day and fixed the roof. He also noticed I had a loose drain pipe on my roof and repaired that as well. I would highly recommend this company."

"The floors look fabulous. They did a really good job. He is very responsible and responsive and got everything done on time at the price we had agreed on. These were hardwood floors that haven't been refinished in 70 years. He really brought them back to life."

"I can't recommend this company/Attila enough. I was moving to a newly purchased house where the previous owners broke a window in the garage (and didn't fix it). I needed to have the window fixed in the sliver of time between when I took possession of the house and when I moved in -- and our closing got delayed. Attila was so calm (I was very stressed out) and accommodating. Yes, it was a simple job but it was an important one that was done well and with minimal added stress to me. After I moved in I asked for ideas about how to add screen doors to the french doors because I have indoor only cats that I didn't want to get out. He had some great ideas (and ones which were most cost effective than mine), promptly ordered and installed the screen doors (with special pet screening). When it comes time to replace my living room windows I will be giving him a call because not only does he do quality work, he is very professional and a very nice guy."

"I got a deal from Berger about their table pad and just in time for my new dining room set. I didn't have time to set the template due to a new baby in the house. A few months later, they still honored my deal! WOW! I sent it in and they made the pad pretty quick. Shipping was fine and the fit was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone! Truly a good company to work with. A++"

"This review is for the bid process only. We did not end up hiring Emerald Coats for reasons unrelated to the bid but i wanted to put in a review to compliment Scott Allen of Emerald. He responded promptly to the bid request and took the time to carefully analyze the various exterior painting tasks we were requesting. I would definitely call him next time for any painting job."

"David came out right away to give an estimate and I had the estimate the following day. He was very personable and made sure to tell us a little about himself, his company, and his coworker Zach. We compared estimates and decided to go with David with scheduled work starting on July 28.
David, Zach, and Todd showed up July 28 around 8am. I was told that they had another job that they needed to finish up so Todd would be there all day and David/Zach would be back later.  I ran them through some of the additional work requests that were not included in the original estimate(re-tiling patch in shower, several more patches from the plumbers, baseboard). Received an estimate later that day and they even worked with us by using some left over materials from a previous  job to help lower the cost.
We stopped by mostly every day, and at least one person was there anywhere between 7-8am and 6-7pm to get things done. There was a miscommunication early on regarding when they would be finished (initially was Thursday, then got pushed back to Saturday), but was able to reschedule all my other contractors so ended up not being a problem.  They also made sure to tell us of any issues they came across (downstairs drywall was pretty affected by the asbestos removal so gave options of just replace whole thing or fix). Really great about giving us quotes right away and not altering that figure after the fact.
Overall, I think they all did a great job. They were all friendly and personable to talk to, took great care in protecting our floors, and kept us apprised of things as they went...all for a reasonable price.
Note: Asbestos ceiling removal is pretty intensive and to repair the ceiling after the fact is even more so. We had not planned on repainting, but in order to smooth out the corners between the ceiling and wall, the mud came down about 1 foot (vs a couple of inches).

"This was the first time I hired a painter and I was very hesitant.  I am the type of person that walks into a newly painted room and immediately sees a minor imperfection.  Admittedly I am the type of customer that a painter probably hates to have.  Well I am pleased to say that I couldnt be happier with Einar's work.
We are doing a lot of work on a new house and I have observed an overall theme from professionals (carpet, painting, plumbers, etc)  that theme is - over promise to get your business and then under deliver.  I had another painting company quote me a price and tell me it would take three days to complete my project.  Einar was very direct and advised he wasnt the cheapest and said there was no way our job could be completed in less than a week, even with a team.  I appreciated that and he was absolutely right.  Einar was the exact opposite of other professionals we have worked with - he set clear expectations, met/exceeded them and completed the work as if he was working on his own house.
I rated Einar's price an "A" not because he is the cheapest (he's not), its that what he charged was inline with the quality of work he and his team demonstrated.  In other words I felt like I received a fair price for the services received.  I would rather pay more for a professional who takes pride in his work and meets my admittedly high standards.
I also have three small children and having someone in our house for any period of time is a little uneasy.  Einar was extremely patient and even let me son paint a little bit (thank you Einar).
I look forward to hiring Einar's team again in the future.

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in North Bend, WA

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
