"They cut out the old dry wall, removed any and all mold, then replaced the dry wall, placed a tub and shower unit, they had their plumber come in and adjust our piping and install our new shower head and tub faucet all within 6-7 hrs. The installers were very nice, respectful, polite young men-- I would 10/10 recommend this company!!"

"Great experience with Gove Restoration. Their carpenter is excellent (new construction casement, clapboards and storm window installation)--his attention to detail amazed me. Left the work area very clean at the end of the day. Painting crew was great--again, cleaned up every day and the paint job is fabulous. Matt was accessible throughout the process and always kept me updated on progress and issues. Any issues that came up or any concerns I had were handled quickly and resolved to my satisfaction. Definitely the company you want working on your home, especially a historic home!"

"Brian came to our home to do a tub to shower installation. He was very respectful and reviewed what he would be doing. The project was completed within the time frame we were told. Again, he reviewed what he had done and how to properly care for the shower. It really looks great and we are looking forward to using it. Thank you Brian and rite window team. Respectfully Leslie Greeley Brewster Ma"

"This whole process has been SO easy for us. After the first appointment until install date they were in contact with us and kept us informed about every detail of the project. On the day of the bath remodel, the installers were professional, quick, and did an excellent job. It was so much less stressful then I thought it would be. We love our new shower. Would highly recommend!"

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in North-canton, CT

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. Over time, grout can deteriorate due to exposure to moisture, foot traffic, and the use of cleaning agents. If you start to see cracks, discoloration, crumbling grout, or loose tiles, it’s a sign that regrouting is needed sooner.

The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.

You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.

Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
