"I just want to compliment Dave and his crew on a wonderful job. The craftsmanship is outstanding. <br /> I was pleased when I first got the very reasonable estimate and read great reviews from Angies List and Dorado Soapstone. <br /> This is a very, very old house and they needed to spend an extra day here, travelling from Rhode Island because the kitchen sink cabinet needed to be completely rebuilt to accommodate the heavy stone sink and the cabinets needed a little shoring up. <br /> Having had some very expensive extras with contractors before this, I was expecting a possible whammy...none came. I actually had to ask for the bill before they left. Dave explained every charge which came to less than $300.00, way, way less than I expected. <br /> I had a small issue with the sprayer leaking, Dave came right out and fixed it. He even went down cellar and turned off my <br /> outside spigot for me...good thing because it would have frozen in this weather. <br /> My counters are beautiful and I would hire these guys again in a minute! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I contacted this company because I saw their great reputation on Angie's List. In fact, they had given some cleaning products free meant for members of the angie's list. The initial and the subsequent visits went fantastic. They were able to accomodate our tight schedule and deliver it on time.The pricing seemed good and so were the selections. <br /> That is where the good part ends. My wife and I are novices, having never bought stone before for the counter tops. We are only aware that marble is weak and granite is strong. We had asked for granite and were sold serpentine!!! Only at the time of installation, did I become aware that the stone selected was not a granite. <br /> Luxus Marble and Granite refused to take any responsibility for the miscommunication. Instead, sent us a web-link, that essentially states and quot;most people in USA consider Serpentine stone as Marble; but they think notand quot;. <br /> We had asked for granite and ended up with Serpentine stone, which is significantly much softer and weaker than a granite. I certainly felt that I was uninformed as a buyer and was taken advantage of. To make matters worse, Luxus Marble and Granite refused to take any responsibility for the outcome or the process. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Overall, I was pleased with my experience with Carlos, Amanda and Raul (and the rest of the installation team). <br /> I had search for a few weeks for a specific stone and found at slab at the Boston granite exchange. Using that slab numerous other fabricators were quoting me upwards of 4000$ for the same job. <br /> Luckily, Carlos had two slabs from the same lot that were just as beautiful (possibly better - matter of opinion) and quoted me 2500 for the job. When mentioning Angieslist, there was no extra discount but I assumed that was because he was giving me the "best" price he could. <br /> We placed the order right away and scheduled templating for a few weeks out until the kitchen cabinets were installed. <br /> I had to delay templating initially because the appliances were late but they came last minute, and Amanda was very accommodating and put us back in our original slot. <br /> Raul was fast and efficient at templating but I found that Amanda was slow to respond often to my inquiries during this point when trying to purchase a moasic backsplash through them as well. In the end, she never gave me a price quote. <br /> A few days before installation, they had to push it back 1 day because their machine had broke, which was totally understandable. <br /> On the day of installation, they definitely came late but it wasn't much of an issue, other than Amanda should have just been more honest with a realistic time of arrival. <br /> Raul and his partner worked very hard to install the counter tops and did an amazing job with what they had. That said, the inside corner of the "L" piece of granite was not a 90 deg cut and it is slightly noticeable that it overhangs more as you move away from the corner. Overall though the piece looks great and they did a great install. The cleaned up well after they were done. <br /> I would definitely use Carlos and his team again. <br />"

"Yanni is the best tile installer.  End of story.  He works for you, not a company.  You pick the title and buy it where ever you like.  Please take his suggestions, he knows Everything there is to know about tile and how and where to instal it.  He has 40+ years in the business and it shows. <br /> I brought him over when the bathrooms were framed unfinished lumber.  That was my mistake, I should have called him sooner.  He had to fix the walls because they were not level or plumb.  He also made the floors level, he did this by a 3 part process.  First he determined where the problems were in my existing floor.  then he installed a plywood base with wire mesh and cement, then a thinset (it was more than that, I'm not giving up his secret recipe).  The floor was very crooked.  He didn't think just using a cement board would fix the problem.  Believe me those floors are now perfect.  Solid. <br /> We knew basically what we wanted.  Marble mosic on the floors with a white subway tile on bath walls. <br /> He knew where to buy them.  Because not all subway tile are created equal.  Some places sell substandard tile, or have crappy brands. But can still have some good tile as well.  He has installed every type & kinds that exists.  Listen to his advice, dont take it personally if he tells you what your thinking is wrong.  He is looking out for you. <br /> We had 3 bathrooms done and were waiting for a basket weave marble mosic for the last room but could not find one.  We ordered 3 others and they "did not run right".  They did not fit together when placed on floor.  Some gapes were too big or small.  Or the color was not what we ordered. <br /> He laid out the entire floor before starting to instal it.  That was huge!! Those floors would have been uneven/ not straight had he not checked before the instal.  We are talking about $25/sq ft tile....yes ridiculiously expensive, and it was junk. (Best Tile) <br /> I could go on and on, but Yanni is the best.  Honest, Trustworthy and an overall great guy. <br /> Why doesn't he have reviews?? <br /> He has been working for contractors in Little Compton for like 15 years building unbelievable bathrooms. <br /> So if you want your bathroom tile done right, call Yanni.  He's busy, but well worth the wait. <br /> Pricing??  He will give you an estimate and he will stick to it. <br /> You save on tile as he is not making anything on it nor is he trying to upsell you to buy stuff you don't need. <br /> He works for you, He takes pride in his work. <br /> You will be glad you hired Yanni. <br /> <br /> <br />"
