"Fantastic. The price to replace 2 30 Amp breakers/circuits with 1 50 Amp breaker/circuit was much lower than expected. The price to replace the entire panel, and gain a main disconnect breaker for future servicing was irresistibly affordable. I was entirely impressed with knowledge, work and professional demeanor. I will absolutely recommend CNE Electrical Contractors in the future, and would not hesitate to employ them again."

"We hired Kyle to replace an old panel in our home. We were so pleased with the work done. Service from start to finish was excellent with Kyle going above and beyond to make sure that everything worked after the replacement, which took time on his part as we still have some old wiring in the house. From the quote through to completion of the job, the communication was timely and always clear. Any changes were explained before the work went ahead. The job was finished on time and the end result was so neat and professional. Kyle is professional, friendly, timely and always willing to talk us through the process and answer our many questions. We are very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend working with him."

"My job went very smoothly. The costs were upfront and materials were all new and as specified by my request. He even largely honored a year-old job estimate he had written & signed himself (see picture). The only reason for the higher final price was the parts upgrades from Square D Homeline to Square D QO components. Jim is a Master Electrician and an active duty military veteran: it showed in his knowledge of the job and his overall work ethic. He's a very punctual and honest guy. Great conversation as well! You won't be oversold or outright lied to about what you *really* need for your job. Would definitely hire Jim Manges again."

"Mr.Electic and Ryan, as well as the electrician, were all amazing. My electric panel burned out at night. I called them at 10pm and they had a representative at my house the following morning. They're quote was within market rates with a bit of an expected mark-up for urgency. It was definitely reasonably priced, especially since i couldn't find anyone else able to do the job right away. Long story short, the electrician was at my house the very next day after the quote and did an AMAZING job installing a larger panel. They needed to cut the wall to make more space and did it in a way that is practically invisible from the outside. You really cannot go wrong with this provider."

"AJ can do it all! He is very friendly, professional, shows up on time and you can depend him. He changed my countertops and backsplash, updated doorknobs, did electrical work, plumbing, and custom made some transition strips in my doorways. He knows his stuff, prices fair, and I would recommend him to anyone. Will definitely work with him again in the future."

"Steve was great! He was able to fit us into his schedule quickly and work around our tricky availability. He's incredibly friendly and professional. If you want good work done at a very reasonable price, Go with Steve @ Quick Connect. He made quick work of our lath and plaster walls and added the 4 outlets we needed. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat!"

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in North Ridgeville, OH

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
