"We hired Ronnie at Root Homes to do a complete remodel. This include demolition of walls, removal of archways, flooring, painting, cabinetry, casing, baseboards, shiplap (you get the idea). I am a difficult client-to say-the least and the fact that I am giving him a five star rating and a glowing review is something. He helped us develop and design a plan. This part was a bit intimidating for us but he made it easy. He is a unique builder who has an eye for design and the attention to detail to execute. Most contractors, in my experience, are skilled at executing on plans designed by others. Ronnie can do both design and execution. We joked with him that he laid out his tools like a surgeon. Ronnie provided us with a detailed project plan prior from the very beginning. He itemized everything and gave a price for each line item. Most importantly, there were absolutely no surprises in terms of cost. He communicated with us every step of the way about timelines and budgets. The quality of the work in all phases was excellent. If we had concerns, he addressed them quickly and professionally. He always met or exceeded our expectations. His subcontractors are excellent and Ronnie was always there to oversee their work. After completion, he went over the final bill and there was absolutely no surprises. He wasn't the cheapest (or most expensive), but the value (price + quality) was completely worth it. Finally, and this might sound trivial, but he was in our home almost every day for 3 months. He was clear about when he would be there and worked around our schedule (we both work from home). He was easy to have around. I could not recommend Ronnie and Root Homes more highly--if there were six stars--he would have earned that. Hire him if you have a project you will not be disappointed."

"Hagen did an AWESOME job replacing the deck. I requested four quotes, and Hagen was the first to respond by calling me and stopping by that afternoon. He provided a quote that night and was able to fit me in for the upcoming weekend, given that our timeline was very short. He demolished the deck, hauled everything away, leaving the area clean. He then framed the deck and on Day 2, finished it - just as he promised. It looks so good and several neighbors have said the same. Highly recommend Hagen at Rugged General Contracting, LLC. "I would not hesitate to hire GSB Remodeling again. I was so impressed, I'd probably just skip the whole shopping around thing and just call Greg. He listened to what we wanted, made some suggestions, and quoted us a very reasonable price. If you're like me, jaw on the floor after hearing estimates from the "big" companies/chains, call Greg...he is reasonable. The previous homeowner was a "DIY" enthusiast, but not very good at it. We fully expected Greg to run into some problems, and he did, but he took them in stride and rectified the situation(s) CORRECTLY.
