"Inspection of a previously installed sump pump system (primarily the sump pump). Inspection found that it seized up and wouldn't have functioned. Replacement made - and very fortunately - since when the pump is needed, it IS needed. It wouldn't have been good to have a flooded basement or have an upcoming flooded basement."

"Woke up to a flash flood in my basement that never floods. Technician got to my place within an hour of calling and had a new sump pump installed by early afternoon and the water drained out. It was stressful - the water was coming up fast and they dealt with it quickly. The lead technician was professional and courteous."

"The many outstanding reviews that Clean Water Man Inc has received can easily be attributed to the honesty, integrity and professionalism of the company's owner Ted Mullen. If, like me, you research the many different manufacturers of water softening systems, you'll read so many varied opinions and claims on what are the best systems that it becomes both confusing and troubling as to which system to purchase. Ted cuts through all the hype without disparaging any competitor. He explains the product and function in simple, logical and practical terms, and without attempting to give himself any advantage. In the final analysis, the advantage is actually dealing with Ted. It's still early in the game, but Ted installed what thus far has been a 1st class system, including a code required dry well, for the same or lower price than what several other prominent companies were asking just for the water softening system."

"Our water heater required replacement of the pressure relief valve, which was accomplished quickly and neatly enough. Demerits for a) not having the valve on the truck, even though I had stated clearly that's what was needed; b) not turning the breakers back on when finished; and c) not cleaning up the area completely (although some effort was made). The bigger problem was that I also wanted to get information about a whole-house filtration system, and the guy who did the repair did discuss that with me. He took a sample of the water to have it tested, so we would know what kind of system would be appropriate; he said that would take a couple of days, but then he never got back to me. I called after a week or so and spoke to the receptionist, who promised to investigate and get back to me right away, but she never called back either. I guess maybe that's something they are not real interested in doing. But I think I would be willing to hire them again for repairs."

"I had a problem with the water pressure fluctuating. Come to find out, it was the holding tank. The professionals at Waterdrct came out (Dennis) promptly and found the tank was old and waterbound. They were like lightening (in a good way) and had the tank replaced in like 30 mins. These guys are GOOD !!! The water pressure was more than I thought the well could produce. Excellent job and very informative. They are true professionals !! I highly recommend them."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in North-westchester, CT

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
