Then requested half early, then full payment before done. When I said work incomplete, he asked "Don't you trust me?" then broke promises. Broken promises: Walkway cured wrong, no follow-up. $1,800 grading included 3-month landscaping - no communication. Promised debris cleanup, later said not responsible. Damaged 4-month fence, couldn't repair properly, paid $300 after pressure. Dismisses costs at estimate, adds them later. Makes promises, then excuses."

We called many other contractors in the area and received a few estimates, but John took the time to personally educate us on the work that was going to be done and the process that was going to be followed. He was present the entire time the job was being done and followed up after completion to make sure that we were 100% satisfied. They also need not make a huge mess.
