"Installed the vinyl first.  Took 2 days.  Very precise work.  They didn't cut any corners until the last seam.  It went across the wood grain, and I didn't like it.  They came back, took another look, and said "You're right, it should have been done differently.  We will order more vinyl and re-install the poorly-seamed piece correctly."  Which they did, at their expense.  They didn't ask for the balance of their money until they knew that I was satisfied.  The only "problem", if you could call it that, was that they were consistently about an hour later than their projected arrival, but once we realized that, we didn't expect them as early as they said. <br /> Carpeting installation went well, with no problems. <br />"

"<p>We recently purchased flooring from Carpets of Dalton.  Our experience was great.  We encountered a very kind salesperson who listened to our ideas and expectations.  We agreed on carpet for our bedrooms, tile for our baths, kitchen and laundry and beautiful hardwood for our dining and living areas.  This project was spread over several weeks and they were great in helping us coordinate the install with all the furniture we had to move.  The gentleman who came to measure was polite and professional. He got right to the task and was finished in the allotted time.  The products we ordered are beautiful and the quality was exactly what we expected.  The installers were prompt at showing up at the agreed upon time and finished in a timely manner.  They seemed to be sensitive to the ?mess? they were making during the installation and made a point of cleaning the areas they were working in.  They really were craftsmen.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Thanks for doing a nice job for our family.</p> <br />"

"The installation process was quick and neat, and went smoothly. They even scheduled the carpet removal for one day and returned another day to install the carpet so that we could have cabinetry installed in between. Very professionally done. Their carpet cleaning service uses steam and is efficient and thorough, and they don't have a lot of extra fees for spot treatment, etc. Price is very reasonable and much better quality than the big franchise carpet cleaning services."

"We learned of Troy though our realtor, who had him recommended to him by a client.  We had been stuck in a bad situation with another flooring company failing to complete our ceramic tile job within the time frame agreed upon and then learning they weren't even licensed for us to be able to have them complete the job legally. (see review for Creative Flooring of Sedona) <br /> When Troy came into the picture, we had a partially complete tear out of an old hardwood floor and a complete mess left by the former flooring company to deal with. <br /> Despite being very busy, Troy came and assessed the job, completed a bid within a couple days and gave us a "drop dead date" in writing with a per diem penalty if he did not make it.  Troy fit us in a few days here and there between other jobs he was doing and still managed to complete the job with over half the time left to his drop dead date.  He was always there when he said he was going to be there, did what he said he was going to do and did a fantastic quality job. <br /> While Troy was installing our tile, the carpet we had installed by yet another Sedona flooring company started coming up off of our stairs.  Troy immediately fixed even this. <br /> We were so impressed with Troy's integrity and professionalism that we bonused him $1,000.00.  He is an oddity amongst contractors.  Honesty, Integrity and Quality all in one.  We have never done this in all the contractors we have dealt with but Troy most definitely deserved it. <br /> This IS the flooring guy you want to hire.  You will not be disappointed."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Northern-Arizona-University, AZ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
