"I first contacted four repair services on a Saturday from Angie's List, A-Budget was the only provider listing Saturday hours & they were the only company to return my call. Doug said he was booked for the day but could be there Sunday morning at 11am. He got there about 11:20 (close enough) & initially thought the problem was a bad evaporator fan in the freezer part of the refrigerator. He replaced the fan but it still didn't work. He then went to the timer & tested for power but there was none. He eventually replaced the timer & it worked. He asked me if I wanted him to put the old fan back in since it wasn't the problem but I said no because it was an older refrigerator & it might break down the road anyway. The pricing was reasonable for everything but the fan motor that didn't need to actually be replaced. I thought Doug would work with me on the fan motor cost since I saved him the aggravation of removing the new one & replacing it with the old one but he charged me full blown retail of $65 for a $10 shaded pole fan motor. I know the cost of these motors since I buy them by the thousands in my job. He did however give me a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member so all is well. As of this writing I am assuming the refrigerator is working correctly since this is a second home & I had to leave as soon as he was done to drive back to my main home. I hope it is working when I return.

"I had a home warranty, an extra policy on my house, so I had to use the people that they provided.  Other than their telephone answering, which takes forever, they were really good.  I was always glad that I had that coverage.  They had a person come out to confirm that my dryer was not broken and that it was the vent, and then I hired a provider to come and clean it. I had to pay the service charge for the technician to come out and  check my dryer.  When you try to call them you can never get through on the phone; they don't have enough telephone operators.  I never like to do it online because I wanted to talk to somebody and find out who they were going to pick as my vendor, because one time in all of the times that I used them, they sent me a really, really novice plumber who messed up my sink.  I think I had a broken garbage disposal or something that he didn't have the tools, his truck broke down on the way, he was very young and wet behind the years, and it was a company I never heard of.  So whenever I needed plumbing or maintenance on appliances or something, I would just call them and say I wanna use that other named company.  But they always do an excellent job.  I would say a B overall only because of how hard it is to get in touch with them.  For price, I shopped around before I renewed with them and they were very comparable to other companies and they didn't have a lot of exclusions, so I would say A.  I'm retired now and I won't be buying another house so I had to cancel my contract with them, but if I was going to, yes I would consider using them in the future. "
