He researched the proper matching wood for the repair section and completed the project in three days, one day ahead of schedule. It looks fantastic! "My wife and I highly recommend Modern Flooring Services. We had 450 square feet of an irregular shaped floor covered with carpet upstairs that we wanted to replace with wood flooring. Modern Flooring Services provided a contractor to provide an initial estimate and a list of supplies needed to purchase. Then they sent a consummate professional and craftsman to install our floor. His name was Patrick, and he started by explaining what we should expect when he removed the carpet, prepared the subfloor, and then installed the wood. He provided different options for how the wood could be angled based on the floor layout. Then he went to work, and we can’t praise his work ethic enough. He is one of the hardest workers I know. He also did a great job of minimizing the dust. If we opt to install new flooring in the future, we will definitely hire Modern Flooring and request Patrick to install the floor."

"Luis was always at our home when he said he would be. There was a hiccup with the finish but Luis corrected the problem and the result is a beautiful Swedish finish wood floor. His price was reasonable especially compared to other local floor refinishers. He includes in his price to remove the refrigerator and stove and cover everything in plastic. "The entire project went smoothly and beautifully. The contractor went above and beyond the original scope of work to get the work done at the highest quality. For example, the 6-step stair upgrade from carpet to wood went three man days extra with no extra charge just so it would make the perfect look. As this was the first time we did such a big project, updateing to original plan is unavoidable but the contractor are very keen on listening and accommodating our changes at a fair cost. My entire project turn-around time was 3 weeks, which is amazing, given changes and upgrades we made made under the way. Other bids with we received was 6 weeks to 3 months at similar or higher cost. Since project moved so fast, you will need to be on top of the progress and work closely with the contractor to make timely decision and keep the contractor timely updated with what you want/don’t want to avoid any misunderstandings and costs for undoing. We will definitely come back to this contractor for future project."

"Smooth sailing from the get go. Lenny came to our home with flooring samples helped us choose the perfect flooring, scheduled our install that evening. The day came for the install, guys showed up at the exact time they said they would and did the install. Next day came back at scheduled time and finished the job beautifully.
